Opening Packs ↑ Halloween ↑ Canada $30 For Free (Don't mind if I do but how?)
It's October and we all know what that means but first lets open some packs. Here We Go!
I got the sudden urge to open some Foundation packs so lets do that now. As I always say, anything worth doing on the Hive Blockchain is worth blogging about. I will be opening these packs in real time. I like setting guidelines when doing this. Basically what I do is (1) I keep opening packs until I open the standard one rare + 4 commons or (2) I open three packs. On occasion, if my fist pack or two are wins I might stop there to book the Heck Yeah I beat the odds moment.
Pack One
Gold on the first pack plus a Rare to go with

Pack Two
Two rare cards with one being an Archon

Pack Three
Looks like pack three is the standard one rare + 4 commons

We came out swinging with pack one. As noted we flipped a gold card and a Rare card. Can't go wrong with a flip like that. Our second pack opening managed to pull in two Rare cards with one being an Archon. Now, this is where I was contemplating booking the 2/2 win but I said three packs so I flipped a third. For the third pack opening we didn't manage to beat the odds but still hit some decent cards like the Rare Spellmonger. That's it for today's pack opening. We stopped flipping once we hit a standard one Rare and four common pack.
It's October and that means Holloween is just around the corner
Halloween is @rentmoney's favorite holiday. Who doesn't like free candy. There is a local that dresses up in character every year and roams his own front lawn. As the ghost and ghouls go to his door to collect some candy he does his thing. Last year he was Bubbles from Trailer Park boys and what a great job he did. The year before he was a zombie (very slowly) chasing after the ghouls that dared try and get some candy from his front porch.
History of Holloween
Samhain (Celtic Roots): Celebrated 2,000 to 3,000 years ago on October 31 to November 1 to mark the end of the harvest and the start of winter. The Celts believed the boundary between the living and the dead blurred on this night, allowing ghosts and spirits to cross over. People wore costumes and lit bonfires to ward off or hide from supernatural beings.

One theory holds that many Halloween traditions were influenced by Celtic harvest festivals, particularly the Gaelic festival Samhain, which are believed to have pagan roots.[15][16][17][18] Some theories go further and suggest that Samhain may have been Christianized as All Hallows' Day, along with its eve, by the Church.[19][1][20] Other academics say Halloween began independently as a Christian holiday, being the vigil of All Hallows' Day.[21][22][23][24] Celebrated in Ireland and Scotland for centuries, Irish and Scottish immigrants brought many Halloween customs to North America in the 19th century,[25][26] and then through American influence various Halloween customs spread to other countries by the late 20th and early 21st centuries.
$30 Bucks For Free
Don't mind if I do - But how?
I been doing some money saving searching lately. I come across many a thing. One of the things I stumbled upon was a site that pays cashback for our purchases. I have made three purchases through this specific site and they hit me with $33 in cashback rewards. On top of that I have another $17+ pending. That's is a nice chunk of cash to get back from purchases I was going to make anyway. After signing up I discovered that I missed out on $30 for not using a referal link when signing up. That ticked me off a little as I like getting the best deal possible. However after making a $170 purchase today and getting $22+ back in cashback I decided why not share the find here on my blog. The sites name is Rakuten. I been making allot of purchases online the last 12 months and its likely I left hundreds of dollars in cashback on the table by not utilizing this service sooner. The process is simple: () you sign up for an account through an affiliate link () you search their merchants, ex. Amazon, Walmart () you click the merchants name in their online portal and make purchases you were going to make anyway () you get cashback paid to your Rakuten account () Rakuten deposits your cashback into your desired wallet at set dates. To qualify for the free $30 you must spend at least $90 withing the first 90 days of signing up.
Click the Below link to qualify for the free $30
Sorry but this specific link only works for Canadians

Concluding Thoughts:
I still love flipping packs today as much as I did when I first did so. Admittedly I was thrilled to see a gold foil in my first opening. I even thought to myself, lets stop here but we pushed forward with pack three. Overall we would call this 3 pack opening a win. 15 more cards added to the collection with one being a GOLD and some Rares (Heck Yeah!). Candy, ghouls and ghosts; its a great time of the year and I can't wait for all the 50% off candy that will be in stores on November 1st :) As to be transparent the $30 affiliate link belongs to the author of this post. They will also earn $30 when you sign up through the provided link once all the terms are met. While the link in this post is for Canadians only. I recommend searching the great wide web for a link to the country you are currently in (if available). I'd advise you to not sign up directly but to find an affiliate link as to trigger the $30* bonus cash. It won't trigger with a direct sign up.
