Guild Brawls With Pizza 2 - We Won Against A USD 78 Summoner!

Time flies! Just completed the 206th brawl with my awesome guild, which is none other than Pizza 2 The Deep Dish!

  • Fun In The Discord Chats

Really appreciated the interaction in the Discord chats within the Pizza guilds. During the preparation phase, there's a lot of information sharing and discussion on who to fill each fray. During the brawls, there were reminders to members to complete their brawl battles. And after the brawls, there were celebratory messages and some members (including me) would write about our experience in the brawls. Aside from brawls, I thought the donations were also very well organised and tabulated, with lucky draws to incentivise donors as well.

  • Moving Back To Bronze Fray

Had 6 battles this time and it was not an easy round, especially when they have recently introduced 3 rulesets for each battle. Moreover, I have rented out most of my cards because I was playing lesser these days.

  • We Got 8th!

So for the final result, we were 8th out of 9 guilds and got 269 Merits and around 8 SPS! Ouch! One of the lowest rewards as far as I could remember, but we continue to fight on!

Individually, I had 6 fights this time and I won 4 of them this time! Finished 3rd within the guild. Due to change in format, wins are actually awarded to the players present in the fray if guilds decided to skip the fray. For this round, there were 2 additional wins for me.

Battle 1 - WIN

Gladius Card Used: None

Standard lineup for this 14 mana battle, with Astral Entity, Venari Marksrat, and Pelacor Deceiver combining forces and we won this comfortably! Once again, this combination impressed, even against a USD 78 summoner! And hence Astral Entity deserved the MVP!

Battle 2 - LOSE

Gladius Card Used: None

This was just one of the battles that there was no way for me to win. Low mana and against Quora Towershead, I did the best I could and it is what it is.

Battle 3 - LOSE

Gladius Card Used: Larissa Kerato

This was a terrible mistake on my end as I missed out on the Magic Reflect restriction in the ruleset. As such, I "happily" fielded a Magic lineup led by Delwyn Dragonscale and my team succumbed to all the reflected damage. Ouch. My bad.

Opponent fled! Valuable win here!

Battle 5 - WIN

Gladius Card Used: Gorth

Two Epic Gladius cards fought it out in this one and Gorth did exceptionally well and won a 1 vs 1 fight with Quora Towershead! Woohoo!!! Such a joy to watch because Quora Towershead is so hard to beat!

Gladius Card Used: Flagulon Reine

My opponent fielded 1 card for a 50 mana battle fight. Almost like a free win. We will take it of course!

So that sums up my 6 battles for this brawl! An 67% win rate this time round, pretty decent for such a difficult brawl.
