Other people's bridges
I don't know if you've ever had this happen to you but I've sometimes had to cross water obstacles and look for a place that even remotely resembles a crossing or a bridge.
If you walk along the stream then as a rule you can find this bridge.
You know as a rule a feeling of gratitude arises in the heart to the person who built this bridge from improvised means regardless of the quality of the bridge.
Some bridges barely resemble the word that denotes a structure connecting two banks but at one time it looked like a bridge.
Although this is now a shaky structure and it is quite dangerous to move along it there is no room for any criticism only gratitude for the fact that someone gave me hope that it is possible to cross to the other bank on these slippery boards without getting my feet wet.
