Guild Brawls With Pizza 2 - Sola Ranjell Suffered Double Defeats For The First Time!

Time flies! Just completed the 224th brawl with my awesome guild, which is none other than Pizza 2 The Deep Dish!

  • Fun In The Discord Chats

Really appreciated the interaction in the Discord chats within the Pizza guilds. During the preparation phase, there's a lot of information sharing and discussion on who to fill each fray. During the brawls, there were reminders to members to complete their brawl battles. And after the brawls, there were celebratory messages and some members (including me) would write about our experience in the brawls. Aside from brawls, I thought the donations were also very well organised and tabulated, with lucky draws to incentivise donors as well.

  • Moving Back To Bronze Fray

Had 7 battles this time and it was not an easy round, especially when they have recently introduced 3 rulesets for each battle. Moreover, I have rented out most of my cards because I was playing lesser these days.

  • We Got 7th!!!

So for the final result, we were 7th out of 9 guilds and got 400 Merits and around 11 SPS! Ouch but we take what we get! Who knows how much one SPS would go to in this market?

Individually, I had 7 fights this time and I won 5 of them this time! Finished 3rd within the guild. Due to change in format, wins are actually awarded to the players present in the fray if guilds decided to skip the fray. For this round, there were 1 additional win for me.

Battle 1 - LOSE

Gladius Card Used: Sola Ranjell

Sigh. It's always Quora Towershead. There was nothing I could do for this low mana battle when my opponent fields Quora Towershead. Let's move on.

Gladius Card Used: Gorth

This was a close battle but fortunately Forgotten One had enough in the tank to outlast my opponents in this Poison battle. Cards with Immunity are so important!

Battle 3 - WIN

It's been a long while since Sea Monster got a chance to demonstrate how powerful it is in low mana battles. In this 13 mana battle, Sea Monster single handedly clear my opponent's lineup, which included a Gladius card too. Welcome back to the team, Sea Monster!

Battle 4 - WIN

Gladius Card Used: Sola Ranjell

This was such an enjoyable battle to watch! Initially I thought I might lose but Chaos Dragon was just too strong among all the cards on the board. Even at 14 mana, it was worth it to field, and with the Double Martyr boosts and Delwyn Dragonscale's boost, its attack damage went up to 6 Magic damage and that was enough to cause a lot of problems for my opponent.

Battle 5 - LOSE

Gladius Card Used: Sola Ranjell

My opponent was just too strong in this one. The newer cards seem to be very powerful and my team huffed and puffed but could not blow the house down. That's Sola Ranjell's 3rd appearance this brawl and 2nd loss. Not a common sight for a Legendary Gladius card.

Opponent fled! I needed this win badly! Haha!

Battle 7 - WIN

Gladius Card Used: None

We completed the brawl with a perfect 6-0 win! Ever Hungry Skull was definitely one of the strongest cards for Melee fights when paired with Astral Entity. The full armor came back with the Resurrection and my opponent wasted a lot of time on this one card, and I was able to take down the rest as time passed.

So that sums up my 7 battles for this brawl! 71% win rate this time! Pretty satisfied, I did my best I could.
