Guild Brawls With Pizza 2 - I Tried The New Blood Moon Ruleset!

Time flies! Just completed the 232nd brawl with my awesome guild, which is none other than Pizza 2 The Deep Dish!

  • Fun In The Discord Chats

Really appreciated the interaction in the Discord chats within the Pizza guilds. During the preparation phase, there's a lot of information sharing and discussion on who to fill each fray. During the brawls, there were reminders to members to complete their brawl battles. And after the brawls, there were celebratory messages and some members (including me) would write about our experience in the brawls. Aside from brawls, I thought the donations were also very well organised and tabulated, with lucky draws to incentivise donors as well.

  • Moving Back To Bronze Fray

Had 7 battles this time and it was not an easy round, especially when they have recently introduced 3 rulesets for each battle. Moreover, I have rented out most of my cards because I was playing lesser these days.

  • We Got 6th!!!

So for the final result, we were 6th out of 9 guilds and got 500 Merits and around 16 SPS! A good bag of SPS! Who knows how much one SPS would go to in this market?

Individually, I had 7 fights this time and I won 4 of them this time! Finished 6th within the guild. Due to change in format, wins are actually awarded to the players present in the fray if guilds decided to skip the fray. For this round, there were 1 additional win for me.

Battle 1 - WIN

Gladius Card Used: Witch Of Warwick

What a great win! Perfect 6-0 win over here, thanks to a strong team led by Astral Entity and Ever Hungry Skull. Ever Hungry Skull's stats are totally made for this ruleset - that's one tip! Hehe!

MVP: Ever Hungry Skull

Battle 2 - WIN

Gladius Card Used: Larissa Kerato

Wow what an interesting ruleset - Blood Moon! This ruleset definitely favours the stronger team at the start, because whichever team gains Bloodlust the fastest would have a great advantage! And amazingly Djinn Chwala did very well as the tank, and not only did we overcome an opposing team with the dreaded Quora Towershead, we did it with a perfect 6-0 win!

MVP: Djinn Chwala

Battle 3 - WIN

Gladius Card Used: Sola Ranjell

Delwyn Dragonscale was super powerful here, leading almost a full team of Magic cards. My damage output was very strong over here against these tough Melee attackers on the opposing side. Ultimately, Sola Ranjell's healing was what made the difference in ensuring my tanks stood longer.

MVP: Sola Ranjell

Battle 4 - LOSE

Gladius Card Used: Flagulon Reine

My lineup was in bad shape against Immortalis on the opposing side and there was no way I could come back. Oh well, just bad luck I guess.

MVP: None

Battle 5 - LOSE

Gladius Card Used: Sola Ranjell

Oh no.. I decided to try out the Sea Monster and Sola Ranjell combination instead of opting for the trusty Gorth in this low mana battle. And it was kind of ironic that my opponent fielded what I planned to field... Except that I didn't foresee a Sneak attacker from the opposing side. As such, my Sola Ranjell was swiftly taken out and Sea Monster alone was not strong enough. Failed experiment I guess, but never try, never know. Hehe.

MVP: None

Battle 6 - LOSE

Gladius Card Used: Larissa Kerato

Ouch. There's a reason why Legendary summoners are so highly sought after. Possibilus the Wise very strong here with the Trample ability and my lineup was not up to the challenge. Maybe Magic lineups are not that strong after all.

MVP: None

Battle 7 - WIN

Gladius Card Used: Gorth

My trusty Gorth is back! But what a performance from Serpentine Spy! Facing a strong card like Quora Towershead from the opposing side, Serpentine Spy provided immense support with that strong 3 Melee damage per turn and it helped to take down Quora Towershead just in time before she clocked a Bloodlust against Gorth.

MVP: Serpetine Spy

So that sums up my 7 battles for this brawl! 57% win rate, not too bad, but will do better next round!
