Guild Brawls With Pizza 2 - Had Fun Beating Quora Towersheads!

Time flies! Just completed the 220th brawl with my awesome guild, which is none other than Pizza 2 The Deep Dish!

  • Fun In The Discord Chats

Really appreciated the interaction in the Discord chats within the Pizza guilds. During the preparation phase, there's a lot of information sharing and discussion on who to fill each fray. During the brawls, there were reminders to members to complete their brawl battles. And after the brawls, there were celebratory messages and some members (including me) would write about our experience in the brawls. Aside from brawls, I thought the donations were also very well organised and tabulated, with lucky draws to incentivise donors as well.

  • Moving Back To Bronze Fray

Had 8 battles this time and it was not an easy round, especially when they have recently introduced 3 rulesets for each battle. Moreover, I have rented out most of my cards because I was playing lesser these days.

  • We Got 6th!!!

So for the final result, we were 6th out of 10 guilds and got 485 Merits and around 16 SPS! An average result but still a good bag of SPS!!! Who knows how much one SPS would go to in this market?

Individually, I had 8 fights this time and I won only 7 of them this time! Finished 2nd within the guild. Due to change in format, wins are actually awarded to the players present in the fray if guilds decided to skip the fray. For this round, there were 1 additional win for me.

Battle 1 - LOSE

Gladius Card Used: Relenor Cleaver and Larissa Kerato

Ouch, how on earth did I lose this fight!? I prepared a Melee lineup to face a Melee lineup and my opponent turned out with a Magic lineup. My decent lineup was no match and to be honest, I felt like I could have done better in this one because it wasn't an unbeatable team.

Battle 2 - WIN

Gladius Card Used: Relenor Cleaver

This was such a tricky battle that could have gone either way. Most teams have very heavy hitters and it was down to speed and accuracy. I thought I was luckier in this battle and I had the faster deck of cards and was able to take out opposing cards first. Phew. Narrow win for this one.

Battle 3 - WIN

Gladius Card Used: Marisol Contuma

I wanted to see Marisol Contuma in action for this battle but my opponent only fielded 1 card for this 41 mana battle. So it's almost like a walkover. Not complaining of course, after two fierce rounds.

Opponent fled. Another precious win.

Battle 5 - WIN

Gladius Card Used: Marisol Contuma

Yay I finally get to see Marisol Contuma in action! But it was Sand Worm that stole the limelight with all the big hits at the opposing backline! Dumacke Exile combined very well with Sand Worm to clear the backline, and it's the first time I am seeing such effective team work among these two cards.

Battle 6 - WIN

Gladius Card Used: None

With Rebirth in action, and opponent had Resurrect as well, this battle dragged out many rounds and my team huffed and puffed and pulled out the win from the bag. Kudos from all my heavy armor cards which bought a lot of time for the dragons in the backline to deal damage. If not for Chaos Dragon's massive damage output, I would have been defeated in this one.

Battle 7 - WIN

Gladius Card Used: None

Wow. Just wow. I bet my opponent didn't expect to lose this battle. They had Quora Towershead backed up by a healer as well. My 4 cards were pretty ordinary but it was Drybone Raider that was doing all the heavy lifting while Harklaw held out in front for as long as possible. Big win for the team!

Gladius Card Used: Katrelba Gobson and Bertrol Gobson

Another Quora Towershead and yet another miraculous win! Fortunately it was easier this time as my opponent didn't maximise the mana for the lineup this time.

So that sums up my 8 battles for this brawl! 88% win rate this time! Had fun beating the Quora Towersheads!
