Sunday evening taper run

First, a brief look back at last week:
On Monday, my wife underwent a laparoscopy to check whether, in addition to the tumor in the stomach and metastases in the lymph nodes, there were also metastases in the peritoneum. To determine this, they performed both a visual examination and a gastric lavage. We will receive the results of the lavage this coming Wednesday, but the visual examination was favorable. So, we are looking forward to Wednesday full of anticipation and hope!
In order to provide some distraction for the family we went on a mini brake and rented a small house in nature. While the recovery from the surgery was harder than we anticipated it was good to be away from house for a few days.
We just got back this afternoon, after unpacking the luggage and diner I was able to do a short run.

I decided to do only a few kilometers and on a relatively decent pace so I will be for for Tuesday. As I feel just sitting at home the day before we receive the test results is not something I can feel confortable with. I decided to set up a mental fight for myself for Tuesday just to keep busy, which should be atleast 1 marathon in distance but I am eyeing a bit longer -

as a symbolic comparison to be prepared to fight for a long time,
Life is a series of marathons if you do it right. A little break in the countryside and dedication to the athletic activities are definitely part of the solution.
Hoping for great results Tuesday!
What a fantastic symbolic reason to run longer than a marathon! Ultra marathon to show strength, determination and fight.
I send you and your family all the positive energy possible.

You just got DUO from @caspermoeller89.

I'm hoping you get some good results on Wednesday, the fact the the visual was negative is very encouraging! A very smart idea to get away while she recovers and I'm sure the kids appreciate it too. It's got to be hard on all of you, hang in there!
Nice run, it's good to release that stress. Keep it up, you have a long medical journey coming up in the near future with your wife.
Take care my friend, and those were some beautiful pictures from the run. It always feels good to be outdoors doesn't it?

Is your wife able to get any exercise done? I watched a few shows about how important it is keep doing as much as you can. Maybe not a Marathon but it sounds like anything would help.
