I Bring ya my Three Tune Tuesday post a day early! Continuing my Producer Spotlight series where I focus on a different record producer every week! This week I pick tunes from producer Jerry Finn. He’s the early 2000’s & late nineties go to guy for Pop Punk. He did some great mid nineties sk8 punk albums like Rancid’s 1995 album that sold 700K records which is wild for a independent release that didn’t have the radio & MTV success of an album like Offsprings Smash which was on the same label and sold 7 million records. But selling 500K on a indie label is just wild!
Today I focus on the early 2000’s and pick three tunes from albums produced by Jerry Finn. My bonus tune is from an album he mixed not produced which he basicly mixed every Green Day record in the nineties through the 2000 album. The main picks are from Blink-182, Sum-41 & MxPx. I covered his nineties produced stuff on nineties Friday last week so today I stuck to 2000-2003 period. Feel free to check out my nineties Friday post if this isn’t enough!

But save that for later! Let’s go with today’s picks! Two you likely know, Sum-41 & Blink-182. They both had massive success on the albums covered here. I purposely picked the least known Blink single but this album was huge. I picked MxPx for my third tune, a band who didn’t get the same mainstream success as the rest but I enjoy them a lot. And to match my nineties Friday bonus pick, I again pick a song from Green Day. This time off there lesser discussed 2000 released album.

Not my thing mostly but I do like the Green Day tune. Never heard of before. I thought it should be a radio single. Though they ripped off Cheap Trick for certain.
Ya same page. I know the other bands, but not really my scene, other than Green Day who I've seen live a few times and have always liked.
