💿 Three Tune Tuesday Picks For Tuesday April 21st! Late Nineties Tunes That Went Under The Radar When Released! Pop-Punk,Ska & “Emo” Tunes! 🎶

It’s Monday but I finished my TTT post already so why not post a day early! Enjoy! 🎸

This week I’m picking three bands who released these tunes on late nineties albums. One of them ended up having a huge hit a few years later in 2002, that’s Jimmy Eat World! They missed mainstream audience with there nineties records but did build a big following. Second is ska tune from 1998 from the band Spring Heeled Jack, I think this song is up there with ska hits like Impression that I get from Mighty Mighty Bosstones but sadly mainstream success was never in the cards. Third pick it’s the pop punk band MxPx, a band who never had a huge mainstream hit but actually has a huge following and just last weekend sold out a 3500 person venue in Denver, there are one hit wonders do can’t fill 20% of those spots and sell close to that many tickets. So all in all 3 different roads from these three picks! Enjoy the tunes ⬇️

And for Bonus tune! One more ska band who just like my second pick above, only released two albums in the late nineties and never got mainstream attention and broke up shortly after touring for there 1999 album. But this song was catchy and if could have been a late nineties alt rock hit.
