Hitting that 3500 HP mark on Feb HPUD
Hello Hello Hivians, the first of the month is here and in The Hiverse that means it is Hive Power Up Day or HivePUD or HPUD depending where you are from.

February 2023 and there are Hive Power Up Badges up for grabs!
Did I mention there are prizes up for grabs!

What are the rules to win prizes for HivePUD?
A full explanation is given in the blog from traci but in short The requirements are:
- Your reputation must be above 39 and below 70 and your account must be in good standing with the community.
- Your total HIVE Power (before the 1st) must be more than 100 and less than 8000.
- You must power up at least 10 Hive on February 1st (and must NOT be powering down).
- You must write a post about your power up on February 1st with the tag #HivePUD (International) or #HPUD (Hispanic) as one of your first 5 tags (tagging only in the body of the post doesn't count).
The good news is that since my first power up of the year I reached a reputation of 70 👏👏👏 Thank you Thank you
This means that I do not qualify for a major prize.
That does not stop me from powering up some Hive!
I wanted to power up 100 Hive, this would mean that I would be eligible to receive the level 3 Power Up badge, which is one that I have not received before!
It felt great seeing that on my account!
Then I just had a check on my HP
Oh look at those numbers, they were so close to being a milestone that I added some more Hive Power.
Now what did that do!
3500 Hive Power now that is much better and a sweet round number!
Job done, that is a sweet number, and keeps me pushing ahead with trying to grow my Hive account.
For anyone who has not powered up on Power Up Day it is a fun thing to do and let me direct you to Hive Power Up Day - February 1st 2023 from @hivebuzz who gives us some other great reasons to power-up your HIVE:
- Strengthen your influence on the blockchain with stronger votes on content, proposals and witnesses.
- Earn more curation rewards. The more Hive Power you have, the more you can potentially earn back
- Earn "interest" by holding Hive Power. You will also earn HIVE passively at about 3% per year of what you currently have powered up so the more HIVE you have, the more you can earn from just holding!
Oh and for all you Lions and wannabee Lions, did you know that you could win some $LEO if you do everything properly?

It is only two weeks until #lpud or leo power up day and this would be a great way to get some LEO to keep you on track for #myleogoals!

Gives mixed feeling about the current spike in Hive price. Nice to see the value rise but makes it harder to gather the power.
