Finally some good news!!

What a week, honestly just crazy. Last week the oncologist told us that the tumor had only mildly responded to the chemotherapy and that it would be very unsure if the surgeons would be able to go for surgery. On Tuesday we had to rush for a PET-CT to do another check on metastases. Today we had an appointment with one of the lead surgeons to discuss the findings and to hear his plan. We were honestly so scared since last week. While the final report from radiology was not yet available (so ofcourse need to wait for that) but his analysis of the scan didn’t show any metastases. His take on the disappointing reaction on the chemotherapy was that he will just has to do a more complex surgery and that they will have to remove more.. but he was confident that it is something he can remove entirely. Still, even with succesful surgery the 5 year survival rate is low, but one step at the time. Being in the dark for months, this gives us so much hope again!

After our hospitaal visit I was able to do some cycling and ofcourse a run!

My run today was very sunny, not typical what you would expect in November here. But still beautiful.

When doctors say 5 years, it means it will be 50 more.
