One more season over in Splinterlands.

🌟 Splinterlands Social Media Challenge! 🌟

The weeks are flying by at the moment. It's almost hard to keep up with everything happening in the game and all of the new cards and abilities that have been introduced over the past few seasons.

The team are banging out updates every week while trying to support other failing games at the same time. I don't know if we realize how lucky our community is to still be here after all these years while so many other have failed all around us.

It's not from pure luck that splinterlands is still going but form hard work, great teams, great community and a bit of good timing.

That's why it is always so nice to see a new season roll around and to collect my latest glint rewards and exchange them for some tasty prizes in the glint store.

I'm still on the hunt for legendary cards to finish off my set which is driving me crazy as i keep pulling repeats time and time again which is such a waste of my rewards. Extra legendary cards are not worth the blockchain they are printed on.

All of this in the past two seasons and I have only added three extra cards that I actually needed to my collection.

I started of this one with

30 ultimate chests

but received no legendary cards.

Or anything interesting what so ever. Mostly potions and merits which don't do much for me that was then followed up by three legendary cards that were all repeats or absolute duds.

It's a pity that the algo doesn't steer the draw towards cards that you actually need instead of having to hunt this much to finish the set with all of the extra's pretty much dead glint.

It's hard knowing that time is almost up and that you have wasted so much glint on cards that will be burned for a fraction of their cost.

It's not to knock the game or the rewards system as I actually like the glint store and find it a good way to deal out rewards at the end of each season. It's more about the costing of each card and how hard it is to complete the set.

Time is soon running out on this batch of reward cards which leads to the question of what comes next.

I haven't heard any snippets about the upcoming reward set which will be exciting and hopefully add a few new twists to the game and to my deck.

I've really bulked up my card selection over the past year which should lead to better prizes and more wins speeding up the maxing process.

I find that the more you put into the game then the more you will get out of it so all of the cards that I have bought this year will add to my wins and to my balances.

I will continue to bulk up my deck with rewards money or inleo money if they manage to build something big in 2026 and I get some extra funds to play with.

I have been swapping a few of my maxed cards for maxed gold versions while the markets are slow and will be eagerly awaiting the return of survival mode. My favorite mode.

Until then it will just be the usual grind for one more season.

Try for yourself.

If you haven't played the game before then now is the best time to join. Today is much better than tomorrow and a lot better than later.

While other web3 games are failing on all sides, Splinterlands has been here for seven years and going strong.

Unfortunately, most of the time the rewards are the opposite of what you expect, but the fun of collecting cards remains unique and the element of excitement is always present.

I feel your pain about the algorithm giving you cards you do not need. I made Epic my priority from the start. But I now have 58 duplicates and I still have not maxed out the Death epic card. At least Epic are considered some of the best cards in the set so maybe I can unbind some of my duplicates and sell them for a profit.

Ouch.
I know what you mean. I have plenty extra epics as well.

Happy to send you on the death ones at cost if you need at any stage. I have an extra 9 of them. If you send the DEC to unbind i can send back. See how you are set after the print runs out.

I was selling some of them a while ago but the market seems to have dried up. No for much profit but it all adds up along the way.

Thanks, I still need 7 of them. We can work something out once the unbind cost reduces to x10.

Does the unbind cost reduce at some stage?

Yeah right now is 20 but will reduce to 10. I assume it will happen when the new rewards cards are released. So if you have any that are currently unbound I would sell them ASAP.

I understand you, and it's never pleasant to find duplicates when you want to complete a set. It's happened to me in the past too :)
I like that you end on a constructive note and with confidence in the future of the game.
