This Week's Brawl: Only Four HP Left, But Forty Times the Fighting Spirit
![]()
Greetings, Splinterlands Warriors!
Welcome back to another Brawl report with ClaNFT. Every week seems to bring a new story worth sharing. Sometimes it's a tale that makes you proud because of victory, and other times it's one that leaves you scratching your head after realizing your strategy wasn't quite as polished as you thought. Thankfully, Brawl isn't about being perfect—it's about gaining experience.
This week left me with mixed feelings.
As the season came to a close, I actually had a great run in Ranked battles. Everything felt smoother, my strategies clicked into place, and several team combinations that I had been hesitant to use turned out to be surprisingly effective.
Unfortunately, that momentum didn't completely carry over into the Brawl arena.
It's not that I suffered crushing defeats. The overall result simply felt a little flatter than I had hoped.
As usual, I was entrusted with defending Fray 12. At this point, it almost feels like my second home. Honestly, if I were suddenly assigned to another fray, I'd probably have to introduce myself all over again.
Interestingly, Fray 12 was unusually quiet this week.

Out of the nine available slots, I only had to fight three actual battles. The remaining six became automatic victories because the opposing guild left those positions empty.
Naturally, I wasn't about to waste that opportunity.
Fortunately, I managed to win every battle that actually took place. Combined with the six automatic wins, I contributed a total of 21 points to ClaNFT.
From a personal standpoint, that's definitely a satisfying result.
But Brawl always reminds me that this is a team game.
When all the battles were over, ClaNFT finished with 107 victories, earning us third place overall.
That's certainly not a bad outcome.

Still, after seeing how hard everyone in the guild fought, I couldn't help but feel that we're capable of climbing one or even two places higher in the next Brawl.
As a reward for everyone's efforts, each fully participating member received:
- 2,350 Merits
- 30.008 Staked SPS
As always, I left the SPS staked. Little by little, it continues to grow over time. That's one of the small but satisfying rewards I always look forward to after every Brawl.
When Every Monster Suddenly Became Fragile
Out of all my battles this week, one match stood out above the rest.
The featured ruleset was Anemic.

It's a unique ruleset that limits every monster to a maximum of 4 Health. At first glance, it doesn't sound particularly intimidating. But once the battle began, I quickly realized just how fast four Health can disappear.
Every monster suddenly felt incredibly fragile.
To take advantage of that situation, I built my lineup around several abilities that worked well together.
I included a monster with Martyr, another with Scavenger, and a Gladiator capable of stacking power through Bloodlust. The idea was simple: the longer the battle lasted, the stronger my main damage dealer would become.
However, the true hero of my strategy turned out to be Imperial Knight.
Its Void Armor ability made an enormous difference.
Even though every monster was limited to just four Health, Imperial Knight still entered battle with 7 Armor, effectively giving it an extra layer of survivability that most other monsters simply didn't have.
My opponent chose Delwyn Dragonscale, boosting the entire team's Magic damage.
To be honest, the moment I saw that Archon appear, my first thought was:
"Well... this is going to end quickly."
I couldn't have been more wrong.
Imperial Knight's armor absorbed the incoming Magic attacks far longer than I expected. Meanwhile, my Martyr buffs activated, Bloodlust started stacking, and little by little the momentum shifted in my favor.
What initially looked like a difficult battle eventually became a satisfying victory.
If you'd like to see how the strategy played out, you can watch the full battle here:
To me, this battle perfectly demonstrates that understanding the ruleset is often more valuable than simply bringing your strongest cards. Sometimes an ability that rarely gets any attention becomes the true MVP when paired with the right battlefield conditions.
Final Thoughts
This week's Brawl didn't carry ClaNFT all the way to the top of the leaderboard, but I still walked away feeling satisfied. I fulfilled my role in Fray 12, contributed valuable points to the guild, and discovered a strategy that worked surprisingly well under the Anemic ruleset.
Sometimes the greatest victory isn't standing in first place.
Sometimes it's leaving the battlefield with new knowledge that will make you stronger in the next Brawl.
Hopefully, next week we'll face even more active opponents, refine our strategies even further, and help ClaNFT climb back to an even higher position.
Until the next Brawl report, keep fighting, keep learning how to master every ruleset, and never be afraid to experiment with new combinations. After all, your next unexpected victory might come from the strategy you almost decided not to try.
