The Brawl That Brought ClaNFT Back to the Top
![]()
Greetings, Splinterlands Warriors!
It's always a pleasure to share another story from my Brawl adventures with the ClaNFT family. This week's Brawl felt a little different. Not because I suddenly transformed into the strongest player in the Land of Praetoria, but because the results were truly worth celebrating. Sometimes victory doesn't arrive with fireworks and fanfare—it comes through small, consistent efforts made by every member of the guild.
For those who are new to Splinterlands, Brawl is the game's guild-versus-guild battle mode. Every member is assigned a Fray based on the cards they own. This is where individual victories become a collective achievement. There are no lone heroes here. No matter how well one player performs, the final outcome depends on the teamwork of the entire guild.
As usual, I was assigned to defend Fray 12.
Interestingly, Fray 12 felt much quieter than usual this time.

Out of the nine possible victories available, I only had to actually play four battles. The remaining five wins came automatically because several opposing guilds left their slots empty. On one hand, it was certainly an advantage. On the other, I've always believed that the most satisfying victories are earned through strategic battles—not because no opponent showed up.
Thankfully, I managed to win all four matches I played.
That allowed me to contribute 24 points to ClaNFT. It may be a modest contribution compared to the hard work of the entire guild, but it's always rewarding to know that every single point helps determine the final standings.
And it certainly did.
Once all the battles were counted, ClaNFT finished with 119 victories, securing first place. It felt like watching your favorite football club finally lift the trophy after spending weeks just watching from the sidelines.
The rewards were equally satisfying.

Our guild earned 50 Crowns, while every fully participating member received 2,500 Merits and 32,767 SPS in staked rewards for players who own a Spellbook.
Any increase in SPS is always welcome. The amount may grow little by little, but then again, aren't most great achievements built from small gains accumulated over time?
The Thorn Strategy That Turned the Tide
If there was one battle that stood out the most this week, it was the match featuring the Eggceleration and Rise of the Commons rulesets.

The moment I saw my opponent's lineup, I suspected they would rely on Sneak attacks.
I was right.
They brought Silent Sha-vi, one of the most reliable backline assassins in the game.
Fortunately, I had decided to place Quilliun Legionary in the last position.
That simple decision ended up making all the difference.
Thanks to the Thorns ability, every attack from Silent Sha-vi inflicted damage back onto itself. It reminded me of someone trying to punch a brick wall, only to end up hurting their own hand instead.
Meanwhile, Katrelba Gobson quietly went about her business. Every defeated enemy triggered her Bloodlust ability, making her stronger with each elimination. Little by little, she transformed into an unstoppable winning machine.
Sometimes in Splinterlands, battles aren't won by the most expensive monsters—they're won by placing the right monster in the right position.

Time to Save Up for a Big Gladius Opening
There's one more thing that made this Brawl even more exciting.
I've finally accumulated enough Merits to open 10 Gladius Cases all at once.
The temptation to open them immediately is hard to resist. Maybe one of those packs is hiding the Gladiator card I've been chasing for so long.
But that's a story for another post.
Hopefully, the good fortune that stayed with me throughout this Brawl will stick around just a little longer when it's time to crack open those Gladius Cases.
That wraps up this week's Brawl report.
I hope ClaNFT can maintain this momentum in the next Brawl. And if you've been thinking about joining a guild, don't wait too long. In Brawls, we may fight as individuals, but victory always feels far more meaningful when it's celebrated together with the entire guild.
See you in the next post, where I'll be opening 10 Gladius Cases. With a little luck, maybe it won't just be the packs that open—but the door to even greater fortune as well.
