Surviving a Brutal Splinterlands Brawl
![]()
Greetings, fellow Splinterlands warriors!
Brawls in Splinterlands sometimes feel like a football match. There are days when you walk off the field with your chest puffed out after a massive win—and then there are days when all you can do is scratch your head and admit, “Yeah… my opponent just wanted it more.” And this week? I’m firmly in that second category.
Still, I wanted to drop by, say hello, and keep everyone fired up. The season is getting more intense, with new strategies popping up and card lineups becoming harder to read by the day. But honestly, that’s where the real fun of Splinterlands lies. If everything were predictable, we’d all be bored a long time ago.
Now, from a guild perspective, this brawl was actually solid. ClaNFT managed to hold its ground near the top of the leaderboard. But on a personal level, I’ve got to be real—this week, my strategy missed the mark more often than it hit.

As usual, I was assigned to Fray 12—feels like a permanent position at this point. I played 6 actual battles, carefully planning each lineup. On top of that, I got 3 automatic wins because the opposing guild left slots empty. But out of those 6 real matches? I only managed to secure one clean win in the arena.
The rest? Yeah… I had to admit defeat.
So the final tally: 4 wins and 5 losses. Not exactly embarrassing, but definitely not banner-worthy either.
That performance earned me 12 points for the guild.

Thankfully, ClaNFT delivered where it matters. We secured 2nd place overall in the brawl. That’s still a big deal, considering our main goal is consistently staying in the top three.
And the rewards? Still pretty sweet:
The guild has won spoils of 49 Crowns in the latest brawl! Also, each fully participating member was awarded 2,450 Merits and players with a spellbook were awarded 23.144 staked SPS.
Not bad at all—great for stacking up SPS and easing the pain of those strategic misplays.
Out of all my battles this week, there’s really only one I’d proudly showcase and say, “Yep, I still know how to play this game.”
It was a 14 mana cap match. Low mana battles always hit different—you’ve got to think like you’re budgeting at the end of the month. Every point counts, and nothing can go to waste.

With such tight constraints, I could only bring in two main monsters. One of them? Katrelba Gobson.
Honestly, I hesitated when picking that lineup. In low mana matches, one wrong move and it’s over before you even get going. But Katrelba Gobson proved exactly why players fear seeing her on the battlefield.
She moved like a debt collector who knows your exact address. Once she started attacking, the opponent had no breathing room. Her Bloodlust stacked quickly, and just like that—the momentum completely flipped in my favor.
That’s when it hit me: sometimes the best victories aren’t the biggest ones—but the ones where a simple strategy executes perfectly.
If you want to see Katrelba Gobson in action, check out the battle here:
Moments like this are also why joining a guild is so important, especially for newer players. You don’t just learn from your own wins—you grow from shared experiences. Sometimes, a single tip from a guildmate can completely change how you approach the game.
One big lesson I learned this week: never get too comfortable with old strategies. The meta evolves. Other players improve. If you don’t keep learning, you’ll end up watching others win instead of claiming victories yourself.
But that’s Splinterlands for you.
Some days you win with a grin.
Some days you lose with a long sigh.
And somehow… you still log in again tomorrow.
