One Step Stronger: My 400 Common Draw Results

Hello Splinterlands warriors,
how are you all doing after getting through the end of last season? As for me, I’m still in “counting the harvest” mode, smiling to myself. Because as always—those who keep battling are the ones who eventually enjoy the rewards.

And this season, honestly, my Glint results feel pretty satisfying.
From the battles I played, I managed to collect 56,550 Glint. Not to mention the leaderboard bonus—rank 91—which added another 3,125 Glint. In total, including what I had before, it comes close to 120,000 Glint.

A number big enough to make me think:
“What should I use this for to get the most value?”

Usually, people split their Glint across different options. But for some reason, this time I wanted something… big. Not just one or two cards, but a lot at once.

So I decided to go all-in on Common Draw batch 1.

With a cost of 300 Glint per batch, I aimed to open around 400 cards. Yes, that’s right—four hundred. This isn’t just opening cards anymore, it’s basically opening a small warehouse.

One small issue though:
I didn’t have enough alchemy potions for all these draws.

So I went ahead without them. Purely relying on “luck—whether it shows up or decides to take the day off.”

Flip All Moment: Between Hope and Reality

As usual, I didn’t want to overcomplicate things.
I went straight for flip all.

And that’s when the slightly absurd moment began—watching common cards appear one by one, lined up like a long queue at a lunch stall.

No big explosions, no dramatic surprises. But one thing stood out: there were a lot of them.

If anyone is curious about the full results, you can see them here:

“Slow but Steady” Results

From the ~400 cards I opened, the results were quite evenly distributed.

On average, each card got around 30 BCX, which means they’re ready for upgrades. One stood out the most:

  • HUSK OF THE HUNTER with 48 BCX

This is what I mean by “slow but steady.” No single card instantly changes everything, but many cards grow together.

After that long process, I started upgrading them one by one.

Not all cards gained new abilities, but some upgrades were pretty interesting:

  • MAGMA FORGED gained Pinpoint
  • CORALFORGED gained Fury
  • PHILGEMOR gained Strengthen
  • Thornmaw Berserker gained Magic Reflect

The rest only received stat boosts—but don’t underestimate those. Sometimes a bit of extra HP or armor is what keeps a card alive for one more round—and in Splinterlands, one round can decide everything.

Now, some of my common cards have reached level 5, while others are on their way from level 4. The progress feels very real.

Closing

So, was this result spectacular?
Not really.

But was it satisfying?
Absolutely.

Because I know that in the next season, I’ll enter the arena with a much more prepared collection.

My next strategy is simple:
keep farming Glint, finish upgrading common cards to max level, and maybe next season start hunting for rare or epic cards again.

Because in Splinterlands, it’s not about who owns the single strongest card…
but who has the most prepared team for every situation.

And this time, I feel one step closer to that. ⚔️
