Not Every Brawl Is Glory—Some Are Growth

Greetings, Splinterlands warriors!

This week, I’m opening my story with a small smile—not because of a brilliant brawl result, but because I’m seeing signs of life in the HIVE price. Compared to last month, its movement feels more “alive.” The hope is simple: may the SPS chart also rise slowly, just like our spirits that sometimes go up and down following brawl results.

As usual, I was placed in fray 12 again. A position that already feels like home. Moving elsewhere feels confusing at this point, since I’ve grown too familiar with the pressure and surprises in this fray.

Out of the total 7 battles I had to play, the results were… well, enough to make me frown a little. I lost 3 matches. Of the rest, there was 1 win because the opponent didn’t show up, 3 pure strategy wins, and 1 automatic win due to an empty opponent slot. So overall, my contribution was still “decent,” though not exactly outstanding.

Overall, the ClaNFT guild managed to collect only 183 points with 61 wins. That result placed us in fourth place—a position we rarely occupy. Usually, we can hold onto a top-three spot, but this time we had to drop one level. Maybe some members couldn’t participate, or perhaps our opponents were simply in top form this time.

As for rewards… still something to be grateful for. Every fully participating member received 1,950 Merits and 16.624 SPS, which went directly into staking. It didn’t quite reach 2k merits, but it’s enough to maintain progress.

Speaking of merits, after previously “breaking the ice” by opening a Gladius Case and getting a legendary card, I’m now back to the classic phase: saving up. I’ve currently accumulated 4,898 merits. That means I might need around 3 more brawls to open a more satisfying number of Gladius packs. Patience—but that’s where the enjoyment lies.

If we talk about experience, this brawl felt like a gentle—or maybe quite firm—reminder that the game keeps evolving. The opponents I faced seemed more prepared, more refined, and had more complete card collections. Strategies that used to work don’t always succeed anymore.

And that’s where the challenge lies.

I’ve realized that we can’t stay at one level. We have to keep learning, keep adjusting strategies, and if needed, strengthen our card collections. Because out there, other players are doing the same—maybe even faster.

This brawl may not have brought us to the top three, but it delivered many valuable lessons. Sometimes, we need to lose a little to realize how much we still need to improve.

A short piece of advice from me: don’t get satisfied with a single strategy too quickly. The meta is always changing, and other players keep evolving. If we stand still, we’ll be left behind.

And yeah… if HIVE keeps rising, hopefully it’s not just the price that goes up, but also the quality of our gameplay 😄
