Not a Perfect Brawl, but a Meaningful One

Greetings, fellow Splinterlands warriors!
Earlier today I took a quick look at the charts, and HIVE is still hovering around the 0.9 USD per HIVE range. Honestly, many of us are probably hoping that by the end of the year it can close at least above 1 USD. Whether that happens or not, let’s hope the market surprises us in a good way. But while we wait for that, as always… the Brawl arena remains the most exciting place to test both strategy and mental strength.

Speaking of Brawl, the results of this latest Brawl are far more encouraging than last month’s. It really feels like there’s a fresh wave of enthusiasm—both in my personal gameplay and in the team’s overall performance.

In this Brawl, I was assigned to fray 12. Interestingly, this fray wasn’t very crowded because not many other guilds filled the slots, so only 4 matches actually took place.

Out of those 4 matches:

  • 2 matches I couldn’t win
  • The rest I managed to secure, contributing a total of 6 wins in this fray

Not a perfect result, but still solid—especially when looking at the team’s final outcome…

At the end of the Brawl, our team performance was truly outstanding.
CLANFT managed to secure 98 wins with a total of 294 points, outperforming the other guilds.

And the final rewards were exactly what we hoped for:

  • 🏆 50 Crowns
  • 🎖️ 2,500 Merits for every fully participating member
  • 💎 37,027 staked SPS for players who own a Spellbook

Seeing these results, it really feels like all the effort and time spent thinking through strategies paid off. This is one of those moments where Brawl feels like more than just a game mode—it’s the result of solid teamwork and mutual trust.

Reflecting on a Loss: When Lira the Dark Is Simply Too Hard to Contain

Out of the two losses I suffered, there’s one match that I feel is most worth reflecting on.

In this battle, I had to face Lira the Dark at level 3. Even though I fielded what I believed was a strong lineup based on my collection, the arena told a different story.

The main problems were:

  • Lira the Dark’s speed
  • The added Evade ability from the Archon
  • A combination of attacks that could strip away Shields
  • Plus the Opportunity skill, which caused my backline units to fall one by one

Every attack from Lira felt like a small but consistent stab, and I really struggled to disrupt her rhythm. At that point, I realized that sometimes it’s not about how strong your cards are, but about match-ups and momentum. This fight was a reminder that a single monster with the right synergy can completely turn the tide.

Fortunately, not all stories in this Brawl were bitter. In another match, I felt complete satisfaction because the strategy I designed worked exactly as planned. Monster placement, element selection, and reading the ruleset all clicked. In moments like that, Splinterlands feels truly rewarding—not just because of the win, but because your decisions are proven right.

With 2,500 Merits from this Brawl, combined with savings from previous ones, the path toward opening a Gladius Pack is getting closer. For me, opening a Gladius Pack always has its own special thrill. Sometimes the results are average, sometimes they keep you smiling for a long time.

Even though my Gladius collection isn’t complete yet, every Brawl feels like a small step toward long-term progress. And that’s what keeps this mode relevant and fun to play regularly.

Closing Thoughts

This Brawl was a perfect mix of sweet results and valuable lessons. There were wins to be proud of, losses that opened my eyes, and slow but real progress.

In Brawl, losses often become the best teachers. Study your opponent’s monsters, understand Archon synergies, and enjoy the process—because that’s where the true fun of Splinterlands really lies.

See you in the next Brawl story.
May HIVE turn green, SPS stay stable, and may all our Gladius Packs be kind 🎮🔥
