Made It to Gold II! What’s Inside the Loot Chests This Time?

Greetings, Splinterlands warriors!

I can’t believe the season is almost over. There are only about 4 days left until the new season begins in early October, and I’m still busy chasing my 100-battle target. So, over the past few days, I’ve been trying to speed things up a little.

That’s what happens when you’re chasing a target. Sometimes you’re already tired, but when you see that you’re still short on battles, you end up opening the game again.

“Ah, just one or two more battles.”

Before you know it, it’s already nighttime.

In the middle of chasing that target, I noticed my rating slowly going up. And without really realizing it, I finally managed to reach Gold II in Modern Mode.

Now, whenever I move up a tier, there’s one thing that immediately comes to mind: Loot Chests.

The higher the tier you reach, the more interesting the chest rewards can be. So after seeing that I had reached Gold II, I immediately became curious.

What could be inside this time?

I still remember some of my previous chest openings, which turned out to be quite enjoyable. Sometimes luck really does show up without knocking on the door. You open a chest with fairly normal expectations, and suddenly, a good card appears.

So I started hoping that maybe luck would stop by again this time.

I started opening the chests.

The result?

I’d say it was pretty good, although I didn’t get an Epic or Legendary card this time.

Several cards were added directly to my collection: Cullborn Revenant, Grim Bonewhip, Ironwing Juggernaut, Mindless Thrall, Surgehammer, and Magma Forged.

Out of all of them, there were two Rare cards: Mindless Thrall and Surgehammer.

It wasn’t exactly the kind of result that would make me jump out of my chair and start shouting. But I was still pretty satisfied.

Besides those cards, some of the other chests also gave me Merits. That’s pretty useful too, since Merits can later be used to get Gladius Cases from the Guild Shop. So, in the end, those rewards still have a purpose for growing my collection.

There was one more interesting reward: I received a Legendary Potion Charge from one of the chests.

So even though there was no Epic or Legendary Card, at least there was still a little surprise inside.

I’m starting to realize that Loot Chests aren’t just a bonus for reaching a higher tier. They also provide a little extra motivation that makes me want to keep playing and push toward the next tier.

Especially because my current goal isn’t just reaching Gold II.

I still want to make my way back to Gold I.

After being less active for a while because of a busy schedule, I’m now starting to have more time to play again. So reaching Gold II this time feels like a small step toward getting back to where I want to be.

And who knows? Maybe when I eventually reach Gold I, the next chest will bring something even more surprising.

Maybe a Legendary?

Well, it never hurts to hope.

If I don’t get one, at least there’s always the chance of getting a Common, Rare, Merits, or Potions. The important thing is that what comes out isn’t just disappointment.

For now, I’m pretty happy with the results.

Cullborn Revenant, Grim Bonewhip, Ironwing Juggernaut, Mindless Thrall, Surgehammer, and Magma Forged have all been added to my collection.

Now it’s time to get back to those battles.

The 100-battle target isn’t finished yet, and Gold I is still waiting.

Hopefully, the next part of the journey takes me up another tier—and, of course, brings me face-to-face with the next Loot Chest.
