It’s Not About Names, but About Moving Forward Together

Greetings, Splinterlands gladiators.
It’s always a pleasure to meet again in this week’s Brawl results post. As usual, I come bearing a story—not just about wins and losses, but also about the feelings that come with them.

If we take a brief look outside the arena, crypto developments in January 2026 feel rather flat, yet still keep everyone on alert. SPS itself hasn’t delivered any big surprises, but it hasn’t caused panic either. It’s like a light morning drizzle: not heavy, but enough to make you wonder whether you should bring an umbrella. In short, hope is still there, even if it can’t be celebrated just yet.

Moving on to Brawl—for those not yet familiar—this mode is a test of endurance between guilds. Every member fights in their respective frays, and the results are combined into one. There are no solo heroes here. Only teamwork—and sometimes, shared disappointment that must be swallowed together.

This week, I’m still holding my ground in Fray 12. To the point where my guildmates probably already see this fray as my personal “territory.” There were 9 matches in total, including 3 automatic wins because the fray wasn’t fully filled by opposing guilds. On a personal level, my results were actually quite solid. I managed to contribute 7 wins to the team.

Unfortunately, that decent individual performance wasn’t enough to lift the guild’s overall standing. Our guild finished only in fourth place. The most dominant force this time was Immortal Beavers. With 282 points and 94 wins, they fully deserved the top spot. The rewards were at least somewhat soothing:

The guild has won spoils of 44 Crowns in the latest brawl!
Each full member received 2,200 Merits, and players with a spellbook earned 18,494 staked SPS.

A result that, honestly, feels bittersweet. Not entirely bad, but clearly far from satisfying.

As always, I try not to simply accept the outcome, but to dissect one defeat and turn it into a lesson. There’s one battle that still lingers in my mind, and the main culprit was Djinn Oshannus. This legendary Water monster is no ordinary opponent. At max level, it becomes a ghost for magic-based teams. High speed and Phase caused many of my attacks to miss entirely.

To make matters worse, the opponent’s lineup was a true living trap. Had I gone with ranged monsters, Return Fire would have punished me instantly. On top of that, Archon Lir Deepswimmer provided perfectly matched protection for the team composition. Cohesive, tidy, and ruthless. This loss wasn’t because I lacked cards, but because the opponent crafted their strategy with great precision.

And if you’re curious to witness the moment my confidence was methodically dismantled, piece by piece, feel free to open this link:

As for Gladius Packs, the Merits I collected this week will remain untouched for now. They’re not enough to open yet. For me, waiting is also part of the story—a sense of curiosity deliberately kept alive.

This week’s lesson is simple:
sometimes we’ve played well enough, but the opponent played more neatly. Not every brawl has to be won, but every brawl can always be learned from.

So don’t be satisfied just by looking at your personal win count. Look at the bigger picture. Because in Brawl, what matters most isn’t how often our name appears, but how far the guild can move forward together.

See you in the next brawl. May SPS grow stronger, and may our strategies not be easily broken.
