ElectroFox: From Battlefield Menace to EVP Farming Beast

Picking up from my last post about the Voltage Event—the more I dig into this event, the more it feels like ElectroFox isn’t just your average crossover card. This thing is built different. It’s like a monster living in two worlds at once—an absolute menace in battle, but on land? It turns into an EVP-generating machine.

And honestly… that’s where I got hooked.

The first time I checked out ElectroFox Miner’s abilities, I instantly thought, “Yeah, this card is gonna be annoying to deal with.” Even at early levels, it comes with Opportunity, auto-targeting the lowest health enemy. Then there’s Electrified, which deals damage to all allies starting from round two. At first I was like, “Wait… why is this thing griefing its own team?”

Turns out—that’s the whole trick.

As it levels up, ElectroFox unlocks Painforge, which actually boosts its power when it takes damage from Poison, Burning, or even friendly fire. So that Electrified effect? Not random at all—it’s part of the combo. The longer the fight goes, the scarier this thing becomes.

Then you get Inspire and Amplify at higher levels. That’s when my brain started cooking—melee comps, thorns strategies… this card feels tailor-made for aggressive players who love experimenting with setups.

But what really made me pause wasn’t even the battle side.

It was the land utility.

When you deploy ElectroFox on land, it generates EVP (Electroneum Voltage Points). And the higher the level, the crazier the output. At max level, it can hit up to 60 EVP per hour. That’s basically like having a pet monster that fights and farms resources for you at the same time.

And with EVP, you can open different chests:

• Volt Chest
• Arcing Chest
• Hyper Chest
• all the way up to Aurelius Chest

The higher the tier, the more insane the rewards—ETN, Glint, Energy, Frontier Packs, exclusive skins, even premium foil ElectroFox cards with super limited supply.

And yeah… that premium foil part? That’s what triggered my inner collector.

Just think about it:

• only 30 Gold Foils
• 5 Black Foils
• 3 Gold Foil Arcane
• and just 1 Black Foil Arcane

One. Single. Copy.

That’s like hunting the last dragon in Praetoria 🐉

And don’t even get me started on the skins—Sparking, Arcing, Hyperlane, Aurelius, and the rarest of them all: Teumessian. You already know how it goes—once Splinterlands says “limited,” players turn into full-on hunters.

What I really like about this event is that it’s not just about battling. It’s about choice.

Wanna grind battles? Go for it.
Wanna farm EVP? That’s viable too.
Wanna become a skin collector? Yep, that’s a path.

And honestly, that’s great for the community. New players get more ways to grow. Not everyone has to be a top-ranked grinder. Some enjoy collecting, some play the economy, others dive into lore and cosmetics.

But here’s the real lesson—don’t rush into opening the most expensive chests just because the rewards look shiny. I had to remind myself to slow down and actually think about resources and odds. In games like Splinterlands, sometimes the real enemy isn’t your opponent…

…it’s your own impatience.

At the end of the day, I really like where things are going. The game feels more alive, more experimental. ElectroFox might be just one card—but its impact is huge. It makes battles more dynamic, land more meaningful, and collections more valuable.

My advice, especially for newer players: enjoy the process. Don’t rush chasing rare foils or top-tier chests. Sometimes the best part is slowly learning the system and discovering your own playstyle.

And who knows… maybe one day, that cute little ElectroFox we see now… becomes the most hunted monster in all of Praetoria.
