Don't Run Out of Glint Before the Battle Begins!

Greetings Splinterlands warriors.

After discussing the excitement of Hallow’s Fall 2026, I now want to take a closer look at one part of the event that is quite tempting for players' savings: Spooky skins in the Glint Shop.

Since October 13, this seasonal shop has featured 13 skin designs available for purchase using Glint. The sale runs until November 6, 2026. So, for someone like me who is used to accumulating Glint bit by bit from battles, an event like this requires careful consideration.

After all, earning Glint takes effort. Spending it? Sometimes all it takes is seeing one attractive picture.

That is the danger of being both a player and a collector.

Thirteen Skins, Four Price Tiers

This year, the Spooky skins selection covers Common, Rare, Epic, and Legendary characters. Here is the full list.

Common — 500 Glint per skin

• Ballista Deadshot
• Fenmoor Gorgon
• Mana Warden

Rare — 2,500 Glint per skin

• Ignited Alchemist
• Kobold of Burden
• Water Diviner

Epic — 8,000 Glint per skin

• Auroral Elemental
• Cloveria Morth'lana
• Voss

Legendary — 20,000 Glint per skin

• Azhar Ibn Sulaim
• Filthy Scavenger
• Gorvash the Pallid
• Mahkah Hemlig

If calculated, buying all 13 skins requires 104,000 Glint. That is a fairly large amount for players who are still struggling to build up their card collection for battles.

Three Common skins cost only 1,500 Glint. If you want to add three Rares, the total comes to 9,000 Glint. Meanwhile, a single Legendary skin alone costs 20,000 Glint, equal to the price of four Rare skins.

This is where I feel every player needs to have their own plan.

Don't Buy Just Out of Fear of Missing Out

In my opinion, there are three simple ways to approach this offer.

First, identify the characters you genuinely want to own. Don't buy just because everyone is talking about a particular skin. If you don't really like the character, it might be better to save your Glint for other needs.

Second, consider the state of your collection. For new players, cards that help build a strong team can be more important than cosmetic appearances. Skins certainly make cards look different, but they don't increase combat abilities.

Third, keep the sale deadline in mind. Skins in the Glint Shop are available until November 6. Once the minting period ends, the opportunity to buy through this seasonal offer also ends. However, don't assume every skin will automatically rise in price after the sale finishes. Scarcity and market value are two different things.

There is also good news for collectors: during the sale, there is no maximum mint limit for skins sold through the Glint Shop. This differs from certain event reward skins that have limited supplies.

In my view, there is nothing wrong with buying skins if that is indeed your goal. What should be avoided is sacrificing primary needs just out of fear of missing out.

Create a priority list and calculate your available Glint. Start with the skins you like the most, not the most expensive ones. Because in Splinterlands, managing your resources is also part of strategy—even when your opponent is just a Halloween shop.
