ClaNFT Returns to the Top and My Merits Keep Growing!

avatar

Greetings, Splinterlands warriors!

What do you think about the new features related to card collections in Splinterlands? Personally, they've got me thinking about new strategies to achieve various collection goals. Hunting for cards is exciting, but we shouldn't let the excitement of collecting make us forget to keep an eye on our wallets. A collection may be complete, but we don't want our finances to be completely drained in the process.

While trying to adjust to this new card-hunting adventure, I also returned to my usual Brawl routine with ClaNFT guild. And this time, the results from the arena were quite exciting. After finishing in third place previously, ClaNFT has successfully reclaimed the top spot!

As for my personal contribution, I managed to collect 18 points, with six wins and three losses. Of those six victories, four were automatic wins because my opponents didn't submit their teams for the battles. So, don't rush to call me a Brawl legend just yet. Some of those victories came without even having to let my monsters out of the stable.

However, one particular battle caught my attention. My opponent seemed to have overlooked the Fog of War ruleset. This rule removes the Sneak, Snipe, and Opportunity abilities from monsters, meaning that strategies focused on attacking monsters in the backline don't work as usual.

In this situation, Katrelba Gobson, who can normally be quite troublesome, lost one of her main advantages. I always find moments like this interesting. Sometimes, you don't need the most expensive cards to win. Understanding the battle rules and choosing the right strategy can be enough to make your opponent's cards lose some of their potential.

This experience reminded me once again that checking the ruleset before building a lineup isn't just an extra task. It's actually one of the most important parts of the strategy. Misreading the rules can turn a normally powerful card into nothing more than an expensive decoration.

This Brawl's results brought a reward of 2,650 Merits for every member who participated fully, while players with a Spellbook received 28,072 staked SPS.

My Merits balance has now reached 12,721. The next target remains the same: collecting 20,000 Merits before opening a Gladius Case. There's still a long way to go, but at least the numbers are getting me closer to the goal.

See you in the next Brawl. May ClaNFT stay at the top and may our Merits keep growing!
