Day 3ish on Hive. My thoughts so far!

Hello Hivians! Happy Sunday!

So, I've been on Hive for a few days now since joining Operation HKZ as a test subject!

So, as this isn't really my first time on Hive, I started with my Introduction post, but didn't get caught up in all the hurrar 'new users' on Hive sometimes experience. And I guess that set the tone for what Hive 'really' is. Hopefully, new users will be picked up by the Hive curators and given a little boost to their introduction.

Yes, there are some awesome communities and initiatives for Hivians. Still, if you don't get picked up by the 'big' curating accounts, it's easy to fade away into obscurity and perhaps start looking at ways to 'get ahead'. For most, this would mean some form of 'cheating or abuse' which would eventually get you tarred and feathered on Hive (rightly so, cheaters should never win!)

That said, my first impressions from a new user's perspective are primarily positive. A LOT is going on, there's so much buzz for a little sloth to explore. Where to even begin? Who to follow? And, most importantly, where to spend those initial Resource Credits? Joining communities and taking part in engagement-driving efforts seems like a core aspect that Hive users will need to understand if they're to connect and grow.

I mentioned in my previous post that I wanted to track my progress over the first few months as a 'new user' to see if Hive was actually a viable option for new users to properly use 'web3' social media and grow a community. Is it as simple as coming onto Hive and starting to post?

Well, if we're honest, we all should have known it could never be as simple as posting any content and becoming a 'top author' or making money. Should we ever expect money for nothing at the end of the day? I guess many in crypto think they should be able to achieve that, but us old heads know this isn't the case!

My main point, though, is about the 'free' transactions on Hive!

Yes, they're 'free' as long as you have the power to'pay' for them.

Huh? Free and Pay in the same sentence? That's right!

As a 'new user' with no Hive power, my Resource Credits are running VERY low! I do get around one free transaction a day; however, this means that if I create a post, I'm unable to even reply to comments on my previous posts! Likewise, if I reply, I can't create!

So I'll use this post to thank @seckorama for commenting on my last post and wishing me luck on my journey!

So, it's time to highlight the next phase in Operation HKZ. It hasn't even been officially announced, slow and steady wins the race and all that! But there's going to be some delegation available for 'new users' who participate. This should allow you to be more involved in Hive and start building your reputation and influence on the chain!

With only 10 HP delegated via 'Operation HKZ', our options for engaging dramatically improve! I guess this means five lots of 2HP would be the most efficient way to Slothly build up new users on Hive! So that's what will be added to Operation HKZ next! Join the Zealy to participate, or highlight the scheme to other new Hivians! Let's help grow the whole Hive community and hopefully have some more users playing the FREE to PLAY, PLAY to EARN Kepithor Games!

Keep on slothin buzzers! My next post will be more focused on Kepithor Games! Can we use Hive to grow our Kepi stash, or Kepi to grow our Hive stash? Could we make a Kepi:Hive exchange somewhere? Maybe even manually, it would be a sloth service though, so no rush! One slothly step at a time!
