This morning was foggy, which is common here as you know. But this morning was also unusual because there were more people than usual on the streets, and I realized this as soon as I stepped out into my backyard and heard the sounds of people walking, motorcycles, and cars passing through the high perimeter walls of my house... I peeked out onto the street through my garage door; I immediately noticed that there were many people taking their children to school, since it was only 6:40 AM. But I also saw people carrying cylinders for storing domestic gas. The larger ones were being transported in pickup trucks, but the smaller ones were carried on backs, in small carts, or even on bicycles. In a town like this, when two events coincide—like the start of the school year and the return of the community gas service (which this time had been absent for 90 days)—then "the difference is noticeable," and the streets come alive. It doesn't matter that it's early and foggy; people go out to find what they can and do what needs to be done. For my part, I grabbed my camera and went out to take these photos, which I'm sharing with you today here on #Hive...

La mañana de hoy tuvo niebla, lo cual es común aquí como ustedes saben. Pero también la mañana de hoy tuvo la particularidad de que había más gente de lo acostumbrado en las calles, y de esto me di por enterado no más salir a mi patio trasero y escuchar el ruido de personas caminando, motos y autos, traspasando las altas paredes perimetrales de mi casa... Asomé mi cabeza a la calle por la puerta de mi garaje; de inmediato me percaté que habían muchas personas llevando a sus hijos a las escuelas, pues apenas eran las 6:40 AM. Pero también vi pasar personas llevando cilindros para almacenar gas doméstico, los más grandes eran llevados en alguna camioneta, pero los mas pequeños eran llevados a cuestas, en pequeñas carruchas o incluso en bicicleta... Y es que en un pueblo como este, cuando se suman dos "sucesos" como la hora de entrada a clases y la llegada del servicio de gas comunal (el cual esta vez tenía 90 días sin aparecer en el pueblo) entonces "se nota la diferencia" y las calles cobran un poco más de vida, no importa que sea temprano y haya niebla, la gente sale a buscar lo que puede y a hacer lo que se necesita... Yo, por mi parte, tomé mi cámara y salí a hacer estas fotos que comparto hoy con ustedes aquí en #Hive...
