A Whirlwind of a Day

The wind is blasting now and then, making it colder than usual. Mister Sun peeked through for a few hours and then hid behind dark clouds most of the day. We actually thought there would be a downpour, but we were wrong. It was just windy. It's almost the middle of the month, and it should be warmer, but nah, the weather decided to be really unpredictable.

That shouldn't be surprising, but I just couldn't get used to it, lol!

Anyway, it was a hectic day for Dad and me. I helped him clean up the first floor of his house, then we started repainting the kitchen walls and ceiling.

The recoating (repainting) was necessary because his kitchen had become so unpleasantly messy, no thanks to a pressure cooker that blew up while he was cooking. The safety valve may have been clogged, so it failed to release excess pressure, and bam! Food splattered all over the place.

Thankfully, he wasn't hurt because he was quick to grab the lid and used it to cover his face. He was the first in the family (and hopefully the last) to experience an explosion from a pressure cooker. I didn't ask, but it must have terrified him. I probably wouldn't dare touch another cooker if it were me.😊

Meanwhile, our Slothly goal is on track, at least for the liquid HIVE, which we revised from 500 to 1k, since we can no longer save HBD. Here's the number(s) for the week:

YE GoalCurrent BalanceLast WeekGrowth (+ / -)To Go
HIVE100013010030870ok
HBD20030.75--169.25

Need to add at least 21 HIVE each week to reach the target at the end of the year. 30 had been added, which is quite good already, although we can increase it if we want. We are not rushing, though, so we will enjoy the journey to getting there. As they say, sloth and steady wins the race.😊

Smile... laugh often... love more... be grateful always!

you need to do a repaint every 10-20 years, and it's always super annoying!
