The beginning to my indoor garden...

Now that I've got grow lights set up, I've been slowly acquiring seeds and some plants that were going to be thrown away at the restaurant.

Although, I still haven't purchased the plant rack, I'm slowly growing my mini collection of plants. I don't think I'll buy a plant rack until I need them, but for now, I'm taking my time with what I can get my hands on. I've already purchased the Aji Amarillo seeds. They have already sprouted, so it will take some time to fruit.

Right now, I only have one romaine lettuce stem that I grabbed from work. It has barely been a day and it's already jumping back to life! The plan is to have it 'bolt' to harvest the lettuce seeds. Since romaine lettuce is an auto pollinator, I don't need to worry about needing another one.

In my house, we consume quite a bit of onions, so I prepped some onions and took two ends with me to see if they will grow leaves. I don't know if it will successfully grow a stem to harvest them, but if I can get it to give me a stem and viable seeds then that will be INCREDIBLE. I've never harvested onion seeds because most people just harvest and cultivate sets.
