I'm Learning Japanese!

Now that I'm getting much better with Spanish, I'm taking a bit of time to learn some Japanese. Japanese and Korean are both languages that I think are important to learn, but I can only choose one (for now) to focus on.

I want to someday visit Japan and if I visit, I want to make sure I'm familiar with the language. I don't need to know everything about it, but just enough to communicate effectively with the locals. I'm not sure when I'll visit Japan, but hopefully, someday I will. Learning Japanese will get me closer to the culture, and if I don't learn Japanese effectively, I can at the very least understand better the context of Japanese Anime without relying too heavily on subtitles.
