Hive Mission Resumed: Guess Who's Back on Hive?

I'm Still Lurking on Hive
Hive feels both familiar and brand new. Like discovering an old friend with fresh stories to tell.
I've watched the platform evolve from its Steemit days, seen communities rise, new frontends get facelifts, new games being tested, and lately... the introduction of ads. While not fully understanding what goes on behind the scene, I've been here all along.
Observing. Learning. Questioning things.
I consider myself now a web3 enthusiast on Hive, on other crypto blogging platforms, on social media.
I've been in lurker mode for years. Just consuming and consuming content without actively engaging with most of it. According to social media researchers, me and others like me make up the majority of our social media users. At least 90%.
My routine used to be that I log in regularly, do one thing (read a post, play a game, or claim a faucet), and then log out. Just enough clicks not to become inactive. But nothing too crazy.
Lurker > Engager > Creator

Among other things, that mix of experiences taught me one thing: online communities thrive not just on creators creating content, but also the quiet observers who keep the buzz alive.
Do you want to know why people lurk? 👀🤫🌑 Me, too.
Lurkers are the silent audience community managers want to reach.
Lurkers are the ones all those CTAs (Call to Action) aim at.
Lurkers are the ones you want to be liking, sharing, and subscribing to your content.
I think we can all agree that from the sound of it, lurkers are an important part of the ecosystem. Also, making up the silent majority of users.
Hive needs new eyes. But lurkers are gonna lurk. They aren't gonna blast full creator mode on day one.
Some prefer to hang back and absorb the vibe first 🌱 taking it slothly... 🦥🌙

What Brought Me Back? Hive Fest.
For years, Hive remained something I followed from a distance. I'd occasionally check in, see what communities were up to, and watch new developments emerge. Then I started paying closer attention to Hive Fest. Seeing people travel across the world to meet, learn, collaborate, and celebrate the ecosystem reminded me that Hive is more than a blockchain. It's a community.
I'm from Indonesia. Born and raised. People often wonder, what's life like in this fiery archipelago?
The Indonesia I know is a huuuge and diverse country of some 17,500 officially listed islands, crowned by 138 volcanoes. There are at least 700 local languages being spoken, and not a single one of them English.
It's a diversity so rich it's impossible to keep up.
Throughout the year the weather will mostly be dry and hot, or wet and wild. There's only ✌️ two seasons.
In-between these two seasons, Indonesians call it the pancaroba, that chaotic transition when the sky can't decide if it wants to pour rain or blaze sunshine. One minute you're sweating, the next you're drenched.
The safe bet is to bring an umbrella... maybe a fan too... 😅 and deffinitely some sunblock.
Indonesia is also where Bali's at. So there's that..

Let's Keep On Going
I've been spending some time consuming the video content on 3speakTV. It's constantly updating with new features and updates. The most recent one being the introduction of ads!

With a little extra from their viewer's share (10% revenue split) I was able to set aside some liquid HIVE for this first PUD (Power Up Day) and #Uptober Power Up Month.
Did you do a power up day already? How was it?

I shared my first PUD experience in this post, if you want to know more 👉 It's 🍻 Uptober, Everyone! And I'm giving the power up month a chance. Each day, I either do a 100% HP (Hive Power) post or stake 1 HIVE.
My priority right now is to complete all the tasks in the Social Tour section of Hive Buzz. And that's why I am sharing this introductory post.
Thank you for your support and for welcoming me into the community.
What you can expect from my content going forward:
Gamified web3 journey. I'm falling down the delightful rabbit hole of points, badges, and ladders scattered across Hive. Hive stopped feeling like a blogging platform and started feeling like a giant streak of multiplayer quests. As I explore HiveBuzz and many projects on various frontends, I'll be documenting the milestones, surprises, and lessons I collect along the way.
Learning to earn. One of the reasons to be more active on Hive is the opportunity to learn from people who are building, creating, experimenting, and sharing their ideas in public. My goal isn't to become an expert overnight, but to remain curious, to keep learning, and see where that leads to.
Food, local discoveries, and real-world experiences. Every day is a chance to discover something new. Depending on availability though, my schedule may vary from one day to the next.
Other interesting things. I'm leaving a little room here for serendipity. Hive is full of people pursuing unusual hobbies, ambitious projects, and fascinating ideas. I suspect some of the most interesting things I write about haven't even crossed my path yet 🐝✨
Looking a little further ahead, I'd love for 2027 to be the year I finally attend my first HiveFest. Hive has always felt global to me, with people from every corner of the world sharing stories, brainstorming ideas.
Wouldn't it be amazing to become part of that experience in person?
Do More of What You Love. One More Time.. 🐝 with Crypto
Long-time lurker. Collector of stories, questions, and curious moments. Exploring Hive one post, one conversation, and one unexpected discovery at a time. I'll be your Hive person on the platform.
For now, I'm here to learn to earn, contribute, connect, and see where this journey takes us.
Hive on! 💚 @bulkovam
