My Actifit Report Card: November 8, 2026
Today I dedicated some time to trim the Durian tree. I cut off the small branches that grow diagonally and cleaned up the main branches from excess leaves. This way, the next time it's time to flower, buds will grow on these freed up, cleaned up branches.
It sounds simple but really it isn't. I had to wear my monkeysuit, a worker's coverall that literally covers all of me, so that no mosquitoes can bite me and no prickly sticks can poke me when I do my branch cutting action. I weigh between 68 to 70 kg (roughly 152 pounds), so you can just imagine if I had been dangling on a durian tree I probably would have cracked the slim branches in two.
Luckily, this afternoon I had some helpers drop by. Two former construction workers who had worked on our home office were there to help climb the durian tree.
It was the most serendipituous thing, I guess? Not sure if serendipity, luck, or just humans being in sync.
They just happen to be dropping by unannounced to say goodbye, as they were heading back home to Java.
I also did some aerobics exercise today, following a video I found online. It's mainly a walking exercise. Not too difficult to follow.
Then I continued walking around the garden to make sure that I met my daily steps count today.
