Australia - The Amazing Views At Sydney Harbour Bridge

IMG_6449.JPG

Hello there!

Having completed my earlier travel posts on several interesting countries and regions, including Japan, Maldives, Indonesia, US, Europe and the latest one being New Zealand, it's time to fly over to Australia!

Australia is a country that I have been to twice in my life. The first time was to Sydney in 2009, and the second time was to Melbourne in 2011. And I realised that's 14 years since I was last there! Anyway, time to relive those moments as I share the sights and sounds of my experience!

For Sydney, the first sight that comes to mind has definitely got to the Sydney Habour Bridge! I know some of you might be thinking about the Sydney Opera House, but I guess it's a personal preference, and I really liked the entire architecture of the bridge and the prominent location as well! There were so many spots in the city where we could get a good view or a good photo of the bridge! Also I believe it's where the fireworks would appear during the celebrations like the countdown as well.

We were in the city for a few days and as we wandered around, we were always able to snap nice photos! Here's the first location that we were at!

And then we found ourselves at the foot of the bridge in another guided tour!

And here's another iconic location, where we were across the bridge! This location is iconic because one is able to capture both the Sydney Habour Bridge and the Sydney Opera House together!

After all the "near misses" during our guided tours, during one of the days where it was all free and easy, I thought why not head to the Sydney Harbour Bridge itself to take a look? So here I was, on my way to the bridge.

Some information and description on the walls of the bridge!

And wow - the views atop the bridge were so breathtaking! Because of its prominent location and it stands at quite some height, one is able to take in all the surrounding city views and I just loved how blue the waters were as well. There's the Sydney Opera House in the distance.

A little tilt and we could see some skyscrapers within the city. The city probably looks much different now since this was 16 years ago.

A little zoom in on the iconic Sydney Opera House!

On the other side, the buildings were not built so tall. I guess it's more the residential and laid back area of the city, and not the central business district.

IMG_6442.JPG

A little zoom in as well. These houses/buildings do sit very close to the waters (or is it just some angle issue)?

Aside from the views, I also got a chance to take a closer look at the structure and the shapes and curves did look amazing as well.

As we made our towards to other end of the bridge, I got a photo of the central business district, with the skyscrapers.

And we made it down!

So that's the first post to kickstart my trip in Sydney, Australia! Been much younger at that time, I was more conscious of my budget during these vacations and I thought Sydney Harbour Bridge was a plus point because there was no attraction fee (other than taking public transport from the hotel), so who says there is no free lunch in this world? ;)

And that's all I have today! Have you been to Sydney or Australia? Let me know in the comments below!

Finally, thanks for reading my post in the community under World Map Pin!
