Taking a different Haircut on Hive with Haircut 100!

Hello hello silver bloggers, music lovers and Hello hivers!

There could only be one band today!

image.png

Judging by Nano Banana's attempts to turn me into Nick Heyward of Haircut 100 I am that sloth with a quiff @slothlydoesit

Talking of Haircut 100 that's our band today in ttt!

I made a post a couple of weeks ago My Soundtrack for the 80s my favourite decade

Quite a self-explanatory title and it is my inspiration for the next few posts on ttt!

Next up is a band that released a banger of a debut algum in 1981

It is Tuesday and that of course means that it's #ttt or #threetunetuesday and so it's time to share some tunes with you!

@ablaze started #ttt 245 weeks ago! Go check out what it is all about on his last post Red Hot Chilli Peppers Stadium Arcadiumfor Three Tune Tuesday - Week 244 - win some HBI

Do go support @ablaze as without him we would not have this mental fun musical activity that you can win HSBI from! I am happy to be one of the SIX sponsors and it is kinda fun checking out music from all over this global village of ours!

Long live #ttt 😁🎼 and #threetunetuesday

The Band - Haircut 100

For this week's #ThreeTuneTuesday, I’m switching gears from the gritty streets of the Mod Revival where I posted about the Jam to the bright world of Haircut 100.

Hailing from Beckenham in south-east London, these lads were pretty fluffing good at we called "New Pop" in the early 80s. While the charts were full of synth-heavy acts, Haircut 100 who were led by the charismatic Nick Heyward, yes that was my reference on the lead image, had a fun blend of guitars and brass sections that made you want to move. They were sharp and a bit boy next door lol!

What makes them perfect for my #TTT selection this weekis their name.

As we on Hive are currently navigating the HBD Haircut rule, I couldn't think of a more apt soundtrack!

Weller of the Jam had his gritty commentary, but Heyward had a knack for capturing the sunny, optimistic side of British youth culture.

Just like my lastt #ttt and The Jam, they burned brightly and briefly, with the original lineup famously splintering at the very height of their success in 1983.

Nick Heyward just like Paul WEller went on to a stellar solo career, but that moment in 1982 when they ruled the airwaves was when they were at their absolute best!

Perfect UPbeat tunes for the crypto carnage

Yep forget those red markets and be happy and have a fantastic daaaaay!

I've never heard of this band, listening while writing, not quite my kind of music, but I guess you would not be surprised, Ed. Hive haircuts must come to an end now!

Oh I thought you might have heard of them Lizzie, mind you I have no idea what bands made to SA lol.
Hive haircuts well the DHF and VP spending surely can't help. Why thousands per day are being spent is beyond me and it cannot help.

I find quite several bands never made it here, perhaps it was our conservative government, who knows? I have to get my head around the DHF & VP spending, but Hive is scarily low for the investors!

Well alot of bands didn't go or make it in the States either, so not only you guys who missed out.
Ah the DHF and VP. It is a farce. The All Time High of HIVE was $3 and here we are at the lowest ever value, an ALL TIME LOW of under seven cents. People taking DHF money and the VP managers think we should be shelling out the money as if it is at $3. This is even worse, they should mothball things and have the fucking decency to hand it back. They are here to milk the system to death. As for frontends, why not make a beneficiary compulsory to use that front end to cover maintenance costs. I could go but what is the point.

Loving the Sloth Quiff to be honest!

Don't think I've heard of Haircut 100 before, but I'm hopeless when it comes to band names! The first song sounds really familiar, can't put my finger on why and I'm sure I've heard 'fantastic day' before.

Nice TTT update! Keep on buzzing!

Yeah Fantastic day has been used in loads of things, so probably heard it somewhere!
Yeah the Sloth quiff was funny, and that is all I remember of Nick Heyward after he left the band was his hair.

Ah thanks Super Eli you little caracas blogger you jeje!
Yeah they are quite fun to listen to. As for the Hive haircut rule, I have not looked into it enough, as to what the payout in HP as opposed to HBD does. OR how it stops anything. The bottom line is that DHF and VP spending should be suspended in my opinion.

Jeje 😉
The payout is not in HP as opposed to HBD but in Hive. I think the problem is that if the debt ratio keeps growing it could be a problem to convert HBD into Hive. It is what I understand.

it seems you pick the misterious band Ed, since almost no one knows them.
if they don't know, than I don't stand I chance.
but great pick you have there.

When was the last time you got a haircut, Ed? I hadn't heard this band before, but I liked them. Especially the last song. Let's hope HIVE's hair grows back soon! Hugs
