🔥 TURNING POINT, PERFECT RUN & STRATEGY BEHIND THE CLANFT ARENA

Hello fellow Splinterlands warriors,
Welcome back to this week’s Brawl recap! It’s been quite an interesting week—not only because of the arena performance, but also because of the latest updates from the HIVE ecosystem, especially the hardfork 28 rollout, which strengthened the network and brought more stability to the community. Even though it was a bit nerve-racking at first, the result turned out positive as the community became more solid and the developers responded faster to technical issues.

And just like how HIVE “rose again” through its hardfork, this Brawl also became a turning point for me after a rather gloomy performance last week.

⚔️ This Week’s Brawl Result: Clean Sweep!

I only got 4 battles this week, but what made me smile was…
I won all of them.

  • 2 opponents failed to submit their lineups, giving me auto-wins.
  • The other 2 battles were solid victories thanks to correct element choices and fitting strategies, especially on some tricky rulesets.

The final outcome?
🎉 I contributed a full 9 points to the team!
And it wasn’t just me—several members of ClaNFT also wiped their frays clean. It felt like the whole team was “on fire” together.

With that performance, the results were exactly what we hoped for:

🏆 ClaNFT secured first place!
And the rewards were absolutely satisfying:

  • 47 Crowns
  • 2,350 Merits for full participants
  • 32.814 Staked SPS for Spellbook players

A gold-medal-worthy week!

🎁 Merits & Gladius Pack Opening Plan

I could’ve opened 1–2 Gladius Packs right away with this week’s Merits, but I decided to…
wait.

I want to save up until I have enough to open at least 3 packs at once, because the thrill of opening multiple packs in a single session is just way more satisfying—with better chances of Rare, Epic, or even Gold Foil cards.

So yes, next week’s Gladius opening is going to be fun!

🔍 Favorite Battle: Life Squad in Fog of War, Silenced Summoner & Counterspell

One of my favorite battles this week came from this combination of rulesets:

  • Fog of War → no Sneak & Snipe
  • Silenced Summoner → Summoners give no buffs/debuffs
  • Counterspell → all monsters gain Magic Reflect

In short: magic is dead in this ruleset.
So the most reasonable approach was to rely on melee and ranged, and I went with the Life element using a “defense plus slow poke” strategy.

Total mana: 35

My lineup:

  • Hugo Strongsword – solid frontline tank
  • Albahoo Forester – consistent DPS
  • Olivia of the Brook – internal synergy buffer
  • Scavo Hireling – repair is key!
  • War Pegasus – flexible and durable
  • Pelacor Arbalest – main damage dealer

Because Summoners were disabled, the enemy’s archon monsters didn’t get the usual buff advantage, which is normally quite troublesome. That helped a lot.

Once the battle started, Hugo held the frontline bravely. Even though he eventually fell near the end, the steady repair support and continuous backline damage allowed me to take control and win.

🎯 Conclusion & Closing Thoughts

This week’s Brawl truly became a turning point for me. After a loss-heavy week previously, this time I achieved a clean sweep, the team finished first place, and I secured enough Merits to set up a big Gladius pack opening soon.

I hope this momentum continues, and I also hope HIVE’s new hardfork brings more stability and growth for the entire community.
