Very nice little story here, that lets the mind run with questions, but also feels complete in and of itself.
I used to love writing Zapfic, they stopped for a good while, but I'm glad to see they have made a comeback

Thank you ! I like Zapfics because they're a real mental workout. It forces a story to be trimmed to it's absolute basics, and there have been a few that I've revisited later and turned into full-size tales 😀
