Zapfic50 Friday - Just A Tone

This post is my entry to the ZapficFriday writing contest for this week - the prompt is TONE.

It was a single tone, picked up by the radio telescope. Very faint, from the other side of the galaxy.

Just a tone, from fifty thousand light years away. But modulated in a way so complex that it could mean only one thing.

It had been made by intelligent life.

For any of my friends (or anyone else, for that matter !) who reads this and fancies giving it a try, it's really fun and thought provoking. The rules are really simple;
