True Financial Freedom Isn't Just About Money

When I was younger I used to think that money is all there is to lead a fulfilled life. Then I'd say “ if I have enough money to meet all my needs then I have no problem in life”, lol.But now, learning through the school of life, I know better. Someone may be stinkingly rich but has no time for himself. Others may have the money and time but have no good health to enjoy it. That's the irony of life.

If I have the kind of money that I'd care less about bills or how to spend it, which means one could say I'm financially free. That'll be amazing though, but that's not what I perceive as financial freedom. What financial freedom means to me is beyond money. It's having the time, good health and giving hope to the hopeless.

When money isn't an issue, I wouldn't want a situation where time to spend it would be a problem. I'd like to have time for myself, spend quality time with my family. The people that matter most to me, because life is short, the only thing that lasts long is the beautiful memories we created with the people we hold dear. I'd travel places for vacation and enjoy the short time we have here on earth with the people I love.

To live life to its fullest and enjoy peace, one has to be in good health, if not, what's money and time without a healthy body? I'll pay more attention to my health so that I wouldn't be a burden to the people around me or lose my peace. If the body isn't in good shape it would be difficult to think right and make good decisions.

In addition to that, I'd love to start a charity, giving the less privileged a shoulder to lean on especially one who may never have the opportunity to pay me back is a great privilege to me, that's fulfilment. One would only be remembered with the good works done here, after one's exit.

Financial Freedom isn't just about living in affluence but having time for self, spending quality time with loved ones, taking conscious steps to being in good health and extending one's blessings to the less privileged. This would be my focus when money is no longer a thing to worry about.
