I Am Alive And Thriving|| Thankful Thursday|| Time And Chance

Hello friends on Hive! Trust you're doing great on this beautiful Thursday. It's a rare privilege to be alive and thriving. I am deeply grateful for that. It's my utmost pleasure to welcome you to my blog.

It's a thankful Thursday! The 4th day of June already and almost the weekend too, how fast the days are rolling by. Proof that we still have the opportunity to catch up with our targets if we push a little more.

Whenever we approach Thursday I usually get this exciting feeling, knowing how far the week has gone. Today isn't different, coming from a place of gratitude. Not that I don't have anything bothering me, but I've chosen gratitude instead.

As it is with humans, so it is with other living things(plants and animals)…time and chance. It comes differently to every one. The fact that we came into the world, finished school, or started business the same day with others is not a guarantee that we'd succeed at the same time.

We have different timing.

The understanding of this fact would save us a lot of undue pressure, worry and anxiety.

Barely two months ago I planted 11 fluted pumpkin seeds in my little garden. Within 7 days, 2 of them sprouted. I was glad and expected others to follow suit within the next 2-3 days, but it never happened. Another 7 days passed with much expectations, still nothing happened.

I became worried at this point. 21 days later, another 2 sprouted, 1 followed 2 days later and so it continued day after day until it reached a total of 10 seeds, out of 11. I heaved a sigh of relief, at least it's a 91% success (though I'm still hopeful that the last one will germinate too).

One thing I want to draw out of the above story is that, everyone's time of growth or success is not the same. Some have it fast, some slow, while for others it seems delayed, but whatever it may be, it will eventually come at its appointed time.

All it requires of us is hope and patience with the right attitude, because in the end one thing that is certain is that we all have different times and chances for life's events.
