💿 A Very The Cure Bonus Eighties Saturday! DailyJams With Gene & Ashlee! Picking Tunes From Eighties Cure Records! 🎸
On this Bonus Eighties Saturday post we both pick eighties era tunes from The Cure!
Ashlee goes with late eighties! Picking two songs from the band. First off it’s DailyJam “Pictures Of You” from 1989’s “Disintegration” album. For Bonus Jam it’s the classic tune “Just Like Heaven” from the previous record 1987’s “Kiss Me, Kiss Me, Kiss Me”.
Since Ashlee went with the 1987 & 1989 records, I’ll (Gene) go with the 1980 & 1982 early stuff. First up for my DailyJam it’s the song “One Hundred Years” from 1982 Album “Pornography”. For my BonusJam I go two records back to 1980’s “Seventeen Seconds” and pick the tune “A Forrest”.

The Cure has been my most frequently play band in my playlists. "Picture of You" is the song that links me my late BF Danny. Listening to this song now carries a hint of sadness but it also gives me deeper meaning and love of this special tune.
"Just like Heaven" has simply my most played single. Memorized every word, every note.
