Four Tune Friday On Nineties Friday! 💿 The Bands Who Didn’t Get The Same Mainstream Success As Green Day & Offspring But Were Just As Good! 🎸 The Pop Punk Rock Bands Who Are Lesser Known But Awesome! Rancid’ NOFX! Bad Religion! MxPx! & Bonus Tunes! 🎶

This week for Nineties Friday I’m picking lesser known tunes that weren’t at the top of radio. All nineties “Punk” bands who were from same scene or style as bands like Green Day & Offspring & Blink 182. Two of the four signed with big labels (MxPx & Bad Religion) , two stayed indie (NOFX & Rancid) and one played on Saturday Night Live (Rancid) and was thought to be the new Clash and they turned down millions from major labels to stay independent. Truth is ya never know sometimes which bands will break commercially and make it big. Easily Rancid could have broke mainstream like the Offspring did, they were on the same independent record label as Smash from the Offspring, the album that sold 7 million units and was best selling independent alternative rock album ever. Still though these 4 albums (my main picks) all sold 500K copies or more which for independent artists is insanely huge! Anyway enough typing! Go enjoy these lesser known nineties tunes!
