monomad entry: foggy pics by the sea

at the end of our street there is a tiny green that overlooks the harbor. it's an ideal first stop on a walk around town, even more so on such a nice foggy day

from the green overlook there's a path over the hill where decades ago there was once a windmill. it's got an even wider overview of the harbor and sound, making an a preferable alternative to the street

at the foot of the hill is another green facing the sound with a playground i sometimes catch a shot at but on this occasion the October tree caught my eye

turning away from the water's edge and crossing the green brings one to the bronze horse statue. the drops of moisture from the fog brings out the texture of the bronze. in the background it the famous old hotel

the other side of the horse's head, facing parallel to the water. while i like the hotel background in the first shot more, the lighting on the head is better from this side

Luckily nobody was sitting on the bench above tiny Sukkerstranda (the Sugar Beach) in this weather. it's not much of a beach to show off in a photo but the sand is exceptionally fine.
