Splinterlands - Yaba's Pickle Available in Pickle Factory

The wait is over for the new's Promo card - Yaba's Pickle. It is now available in the Yabanius's Pickle Factory in the Splinterlands Shop.

This promo card is considered the SPS Stakeholder Pickle Release since a snapshot was taken on June 17th of all player staked SPS. For each 1,000 SPS a player had staked on that date they received the ability to purchase 1 of these Pickle cards for 150 DEC.

I was lucky enough to purchase 65 of these cards.

To check and see how many you are able to purchase head over to the Splinterlands shop. The Yaba's Pickle Factory is on the top row right hand side of the screen.

The great part of this sale is the opportunity for the chance to get a Gold Foil or Black Foil card instead of just the regular foil card. There is a 2% drop rate (4% with Alchemy Potions) for the Gold card and a 1 in 4,000 drop rate (1 in 2,000 with Midnight Potions) for the Black Foil card.

The purchase price is 150 DEC however this is actually only $0.138 using the $0.00092 USD rate in Hive Engine for DEC. Especially since you get the chance for a Gold Foil or Black Foil instead of just a regular foil card.

Phase I - General Sale

This card is available in the Pickle Factory in the different Phases. The first phase is the General Sale which start on June 24th and lasts for 30 days.

**Phase II - Gold Foil Arcane Fortune Draw **

Phase II will start on July 29th which is 5 days after the General sale ends. There will be 50 Fortune Draws, one every 24 hours. The winner walks away with an exclusive Gold Foil Arcane Yaba's Pickle. But don't worry even if you do not win one of the Gold cards, you will still get a regular foil Yaba's Pickle card for every entry made. So Win or Lose in the draw you still get a pickle.

To enter, you'll need Fortune Tickets, which are crafted by land owners and sold on the market. Currently the lowest priced tickets are $0.40 USD each or just a little over 441 DEC

There is no telling where the price will be when it gets closer to the time for the ticket drawing so pick them up as quickly as possible or take your chance and see what the price may be as it gets closer to time for the actual daily drawing.

Phase III - Black Foil Arcane Auction
Once Phase II Gold Foil Arcane Fortune Draw ends, there will be a 6 day break and then Phase III - Black Foil Arcane Auction will begin on September 23rd.

There will be 20 auctions, 25 hours each for 20 Black Foil Arcane Yaba's Pickles which will go to the highest bidder.

To bid you use Auction Marks which are crafted by land owners and sold on the market. Each auction uses proxy-style bidding - set your max bid and walk away. The system will raise your bid only when needed to keep you in the lead.

Land owners have already crafted Auction Marks and placed them on the market. The lowest price is currently $1.87 USD or slightly over 2,061 DEC. Just like for the Fortune Tickets, there is no telling what the price may be once it gets closer to time for the auction. Land owners may start crafting more and more of these which may have the price decline or it may be that the land owners want to keep what they craft for themselves. Who knows.

Card Market

If you feel like you are not one of the lucky ones in drawings, you may want to check out the card market. Since the general sale started in June, several players were lucky enough to get Gold Foil and Black Foil cards as well as the regular foil cards and have listed them on the market.

A regular foil Pickle can be picked up for $0.10 while the lowest Gold is listed for $1.69 and the rare Black Foil is $240.00.
