@rainbowdash4l, what tool/process/modality are you using to do your trauma therapy? I'm curious because this is something I do regularly as well and I'm so glad @new.things tagged me in a comment here because it's nice to find people on Hive where we have similar interests and priorities!

For me it has been a long journey with regards to trauma therapy, started with regular CTG, went for schema-therapy and 2 years later now in a year long GIT-PD program with additional modules

For me specific event trauma is only a part of the puzzle, with my personality resulting from prolonged unsafe conditions during childhood being the remainder.

The elements with regards to specific event trauma that I respond well to are:

  • combi: EMDR + PMT (individual)
  • Cognitive rescripting (in group)

At home, I mostly stick to mindfullness, NSDR and plenty of low intensity sports to have sufficient buffer.

Thanks for your thoughtful reply and sharing what is working for you 🙏 It's such a journey, isn't it?!

I've been working with different modalities and models of healing for a bit over a decade now and come to the conclusion that there's no one tool or process for everyone and that probably every person needs a holistic approach to healing.
