Midweek already. 9th day of the 9th month, whew! My shopping app was buzzing. Bargains (sales) everywhere due to the 9.9 promos. I just had to mute it to keep my moolah safe. Those marketing gimmicks can lure us into buying things because they appear discounted big. Oh well, some can be a good steal, but most, hmmm...
Anyway, since it's Wednesday, it's time for our weekly Slothly Savers goals progress update. After hitting the second target last week (2k HIVE), we started with a new one—accumulating sats.
We should have done that when BTC was in the $60k zone, no? Well, we did a few swaps (on-chain via the v4v app), although not much, and acquired just about 50k sats. That is still better than nothing (zero), as the hubby puts it😁
But yeah, here's the new number to work on until the end of the year:

Yep, the new target is to stack up at least 100k sats (0.001 BTC) before the year ends. The number feels right. It's not that big (to scare us), and not too small either (to make us feel complacent). With 16 weeks remaining in the year, we would have to acquire at least 6.25k sats per week (roughly $5 at the current prices). That's highly achievable, unless a big swing happens.
Meanwhile, it was quite unfortunate that we missed the little action on the 3rd when HIVE went up to 5 cents. Selling the liquid would have been nice, for we could buy back a bit more at the current prices. I thought, "Where the hell were we on that day?" But then again, it had passed. There would be a next time. Until then, we keep on with what we're doing.

It is never too late. When BTC was introduced to me for the first time it was $36 per coin. A friend who was renting a room from me would ask to pay his share of pizza, beers and the occasional loan of my CC for online purchases in BTC. As he was down on his luck we agreed, thinking we were doing him a favor. Were we wrong.
He would have paid his rent with BTC had he been asked. It does no good thinking about what if's.
When should you buy? Now. 😉
Dollar cost averaging coupled with HODLing your coins and your keys is the most risk free financial strategy in my opinion; though not meant as financial advice. 😁
