during our previous travels we had extra long layovers in Muscat due to the airline cancelling our connection flight. now some people may view that as a terrible inconvenience but for us it was an unexpected opportunity to get to explore the city of Muscat for a day. so we booked a guided tour in a taxi and off we went. one of the stops was the opulent Al Bustan Palace Hotel. the lower floors operate as a Ritz-Carlton hotel while the upper floors are reserved for the Sultan and family and their high-level visitors. the gardens as well as the plush sumptuous jaw-dropping lobby are open to the public. when i visit special places such as this i like to check out the men's room just for fun.

the large mirrors in the luxurious lavatory presented some great reflections

especially because one of the mirrors was perpendicularly positioned and thus reflected the line of the other mirrors while itself was reflected in the one nearest the corner

i like all of these shots that i took with my phone camera, so am having trouble deciding which to select as my contest entry. i guess you could say it is a luxury problem
