Some time last week, I boarded a Keke tricycle going to my office on Azikiwe Road.
I was seated on the left, right behind the driver, because that’s where you actually see the city. We got to the Star Bus Stop, and the driver slowed down to pick up a passenger.
From that side, I could see the whole stretch — the Waterside Bridge, the road dipping down, all the way to East Street. Vehicular movement, people moving, billboards, green vegetation - the city, vibrant and #alive!
I had my phone out and snap snap!

And by the side, the defunct Enyimba Hotel, now under renovation but still with its charm, towers over.
Another click, and the driver moved on.

Now in motion

We got closer to the bridge, and I took the last shot.

These photos aren't spectacular, but they paint a picture of a city frozen in a moment. And this view is the kind you only catch when the driver stops for a few seconds - especially if you're seated by the side, which happens to be my favorite place. Lol.
Seriously, I’ve always wanted to capture this part of Aba like this - no rush, no chaos - when the location shows itself and not just the traffic covering it. Guess it was my lucky day! Hehehe.

Who said the pictures aren't spectacular? They're actually very beautiful if you ask me.. wow, see the road, so clean and beautiful.
How is your electricity in this area?
Awwnn, this means a lot to me. Many thanks. The sanitation team are really doing great in keeping the city clean.
It has improved improved greatly, I'd say near constant power supply. Moreover, most part of the city is now on prepaid.
These shots you took are so cool and somewhat refreshing. A sharp contrast to the busyness of your capital city
Many thanks. Exactly, it was during the afternoon and traffic wasn't much expected. Glad I was able to capture it.
