Singapore - A Little Matcha Moment @ Moss Matcha

This should be a "Relf Drinks Out" instead of "Relf Eats Out" post! Haha.

As you might know, matcha (or some people would know it as green tea) is one of my favourite drinks. The taste of matcha is unique (and I get what some people might not like it), but I do and I have been drinking it regularly for more than 10 years, even before it became popular. So I chanced upon this brightly lit store earlier this week, so I thought why not just give it a try.

The poster looked so awesome, and I decided to go with their signature matcha latte.

As with the more specialised matcha shops, they do have several types of matcha powder for the customer to choose from, with different prices as well. The prices are in SGD.

Interestingly, there was even a detailed description for each type. And we could see and smell the matcha powder too.

In the end, I went for Type 1, and it tasted pretty good. But what I really liked was the information provided and the experience of seeing and smelling the different types. Most matcha cafes that I have been to basically provide a whole list of choices, and for a first timer, it can be quite overwhelming and I sometimes get stuck on which one I should pick.

So there you have it, my little matcha moment on a weekday afternoon!

P.S. In case anyone is wondering, this sharing is not sponsored in any way.

These photos are lovely and the ambience of this matcha store looks inviting. It's interesting that the store lets customers see and smell the different matcha powders before choosing. Did Type 1 taste different from the matcha you usually order? I'm a coffee drinker so I'm not sure if I'd enjoy matcha but your post makes me want to give it a try!

I think Type 1 was darker so the flavour was more intense! Thanks for dropping by and for the support too!

Being able to smell the different powders before choosing sounds like a game changer since menus usually just list names that mean nothing to me
