Littleton Coin Deals - Silver Under Spot

Littleton Coin Company is known for sending offers of overpriced coins via the mail, in the hopes people will buy them. Often they target older people who don't know any better and think they are getting in on a good deal that will appreciate in value over time. The truth is there are many stories you'll find online where people were taken advantage of legally, but in an unethical manner.

If you search around on the r/Silverbugs Subreddit, you can sometimes find codes from Littleton where they will offer silver coins below spot price. The idea is they will send you coin collections that are overpriced, and you have to promptly return them or you'll be charged for them. If you don't mind doing this, you can get some silver cheap! Eventually the codes will stop working and they will cut you off, but it's nice while it lasts!

So, I recently decided to place an order.

I ordered three 1921 Morgan silver dollars and a George Washington silver half dollar. I paid $110.95, which is far below spot. You can see the codes I used if you want to try this for yourself. They are the numbers and letters after the "Contents from Dept." line.

Spot price closed out at $58.39, so let's do some math.

A 1921 Morgan dollar contains roughly 0.77 ounces of pure silver, which is 0.77 × 58.39 × 3 = $134.88 at melt value currently.

The Washington silver half dollar is worth $29.20 at melt value.

So at spot price, these should've cost me $164.08, and I paid $110.95, which gives me a savings of $53.13. I'll take it!

Im not sure why, but loose Morgans are more than Maples here! That's a new phenomenon for my area! I think you got a good deal!

Really? That's odd! You'd think they'd cost more. Then again, Silver Eagles cost more here than Maples. It's definitely a strange market right now.
