HSBIDAO Stats/Strategy 2026

Now the the HSBIDAO tokens are earning dividends, I want to talk about what this account will be doing. The strategy here is a little different than @uni-coin . Think of it as A/B testing in a way. @uni-coin will be converting most of the voting units over time. This account is doing the opposite. At least for now.

I have purchased 115 HSBIDAO so far for this account. I likely won't be converting the voting units on this account for at least a few months if ever. I am going to see how things go before I make that call.

I don't have a lot of voting units on this account. I think I have about 220. I don't post on this account as often as the others as there is no real need most of the time. But anyway....

What I will be doing is buying some HSBIDAO for less than 0.5 swap.hive . I am basically buying them at a fraction higher than HSBI's buywall. I may play the arbitrage game and sell some at a profit, but at least right now I am just going to be stacking them.

Since there is a permanent buywall and I can sell them at any time I will likely start buying more and use them to back GLITTER (along with HP and other assets of course).

Once I start earning regular divs, it will allow me to mint more GLITTER to add to UNICOIN/SWAP.HIVE liquidity pool rewards. I don't expect that to happen for several months. I could alternately sell some HSBIDAO as well to help fund the buybacks if that ever becomes necessary or makes sense to do so.

Things are still up in the air in terms of APY from the tokens , so for now I am in observation mode. I have 500 on the @uni-coin account right now as well. Those tokens were converted.

HSBI hasn't released the info so folks can look and see what divs are accumulating yet, but I believe that is on the list of things to do soon.

The only "complaint" I have about the div system is that you have to earn a full unit to get paid. It would be much better from a compounding perspective to release the divs in fractions. The new token does have that ability but I don't think it's in the plans. Who knows what may happen in the future?

  • edit.* Something I forgot to add. I will be running an experiment of the HSBIDAO rewards vs curation as well. I forgot to mention that in the original draft. I will likely start that in December. I will be comparing equal HIVE value so it's balanced as well as can be.

One of the advantages to maintaining the buywall!! But also it's a lot easier for us to maintain the buywall at all times that to manage refund requests and the occasional headaches or miscommunication that surround them.

The only "complaint" I have about the div system is that you have to earn a full unit to get paid.

This is valid, and it's why we increased the significant digits when we reissued as HSBIDAO. There are several backend updates that need to happen (a bunch of integer fields need converted), but it's on my list to issue the pik dividends at 0.001 minimum instead of 1.

Brilliant strategy! In a few months you'll re-evaluate and give us your thoughts on how it went. Nice to see a token issuer with an actual plan! Altho I also buy tokens with no plan, Just For Fun. :)

Yeah I sometimes buy tokens without a plan too just for fun.I will be looking at a few things, including comparing the HSBIDAO with curation. It will probably take me a couple of weeks to equalize them both (equal starting HIVE value) but that's a good comparison to look at. I may officialy start this in December or January. But in the meantime I will see how it goes on both accounts. UNICOIN has more voting units than HSBIDAO and soon it will be reversed here -more tokens than voting units. !PIZZA
