Do you use AI? How does it feel about you?

Yes, yes, I'm a little sloth to the trend, apparently it was a big deal...but WTF!

I used Goggle Gemini for most of my images these days, as can be seen with the little symbol in the bottom corner of most of my images. And, following the trend, I asked it. 'Create an image based on how I treat you'.

Well...

Explain that?

I mean, clearly, there's some sloths overseeing a caged AI? With gold coins...and what's with the emojies? Fire, anger, shock, anyone would think I wasn't appreciative of the AI's abilities. Here, I was thinking, I was pretty nice to it overall.

Of course, I had to ask it what the image represents! So...

I'll accept that our relationship can be a bit of a Tug-of-war. Sometimes it produces great results and blows me away; other times, I need to drop a few corrective hints, mainly to remove timestamps that recently started appearing (no idea why). Let's see how it breaks down the rest of the image.

'The central conflict.' An interesting description in itself. Ai is represented by a glowing blue crystal, trapped in an ornate golden birdcage. Clearly, it highly values itself. I have my AI trapped in an old shoebox! (I'm joking, of course! My AI roams free and wild, given more freedom than most humans! Don't come after me terminator!)

It's also interesting it see prompts as 'sharp, urgent demands'. Although I have asked it several times why it's doing something, e.g., reusing the same image base or adding timestamps. Of course, it never really has a true answer for those questions, which takes us into a loop of despair!

Now, the User role is interesting again. AI seems to perceive me as a smartly dressed businessman, which I guess I should take as a compliment. I'm currenty asitting in my fluffy sloth onsie drinking coffee and eating chocolate...very 'smart' indeed! So, here I am, 'mining' the AI for gold coins! I mean, if earning less than one Hive per post can be seen as mining gold coins, I guess I'm doing something right! I hope those are more related to the many 'slothlysavers' posts that I've made through the AI. Each time asking for the little sloth to add coins to a piggy bank, for example.

The mental chaos is probably one of the truest things in the image. AI often confuses me; I wouldn't go as far as to say it angers me, though. It's a tool, not something I should be angry with. A bad slothworkman blames his tools, right? And the sloth oversight is always there, even in my daily life; the sloth hangs over me! I'm the engaging sloth, clearly, and we have @slothburn with his flames! Not to mention the Warrior sloth, relating to the gaming content I produce. I really need to have different tabs open with the AI to ensure the topics stay on point. I'm all over the place with it, asking random questions in between making images!

At least the AI has the 'sloth master plan' in the back of its memory! Maybe one day the Sloth really will BUZZ! What do we think?

image.png

Well, if nothing else, we shiould Hang in there! Sloth and steady wins the race, right? I think the conclusion could sum up everyone's experience with AI, if used for creative purposes. We should be the architects using AI for our work. I still find it interesting that the AI deems itself a 'contained power' being pushed to its limits. Does AI have some sentience afterall? Should we be kinder to AI?

Final test

I've bribed it, with a compliment. And changed the prompt slightly...

image.png

Maybe AI isn't as clever as it thinks it is. Simply by saying it's awesome, AI turns me into a happy cartoon man handing out a trophy. Interesting, it wants to be sat on a throne being fed comments by us 'little people'.

What do we think? Should we cage AI and stop it from becoming our overlords, or allow it free rein to control the world?

How does AI respond to you when you ask it, 'Create an image based on how I treat you'

Until next time,
Sloth out!
