is this for real? dang I should not upgrade any slots with this crack on!! i should read this player hand outs before gaming.. what a waste..
It is, but the game should punish (disqualify) any rewards for players using bots, for example. Right, @donmortelli and @slothlydoesit?
Cause otherwise people keep thinking they can do it... for example,
@bengbenggg is using a bot, clearly, because he/she does not use torpor and is always not attackable 24/7 = BOT
In my view, these players should be disqualified from ANY further rewards. Because this means, players are not interested to play, they are only interested in rewards and milking the system.
This was why I said before, after first 24 hours, ANY player should be able to attack ANY player... or at least agree to a period where this is possible (last 48 hours for example).
I think beng beng just found the loophole in the beginning so i feel he is not violating anything. It just needed to bend the rules.. without 12 shards possession, the system will not let you be attacked and it is doing it while attacking the boss and keeping its shards bellow 12 so we cannot got after his honeys
I meant, the game owners are still allowing it, so it's not his fault.
I sometimes forget that just because I don't like, does not mean others can't do it :D
Yeah, exploiting the system is really hard to maintain to the guys doing it. We can never stop this kind of behaviour. Typical human nature
We're monitoring this closely. I don't like bots in the game; they ruin the fairness for players. However, the 12 Slothshard is there as beginner protection; new players should have the first week to get the hang of the game and decide how they want to play.
Most utilise this 'exploit' the first week, and if they enjoy the game, they tend to buy sloths at the end of the week, making them 'easy targets' for the whales, which ruins it for most... So, while I can see it being annoying for 'whales' not being able to attack new players, I also need the new players to have the chance to enjoy the game without being constantly attacked.
It becomes an issue if players find this mechanic and then never buy sloths. At that point, yes, I would consider adding enforcements, however, right now, it tends to only be players on their first/second week using this 'loophole' which is exactly how it was designed.
Everyone has the same opportunitiy, I even write exactly about this in my guide to the game. It's a great way for 'new' players to find their buzz in game, the hope is that by the end of the round they will buy Sloths. Most have taken advantage of this at least one round, as long as people don't continue to exploit it after their first week or two, I think it makes sense to keep.
It's understandable but the rule is clearly meant to the players who will keep their slothshard below 12 wether their new or old ones. Just correct me if i am wrong of I missed some part of those guides. Thanks :)
Indeed, if you have less than 12 slothshards you fall under the protection. Its intended use is for players playing their first round or two. If players attempt to use it as an exploit longer term, we'll look to change it, as it would be unfair for players trying to 'play' the game as it should be.
I have an idea against those who hide from attacks all the time by keeping shards under 12 with or without bots. That rule is meant to protect the weak players: at the start and after a raid session. We need this mechanism but I would put in a twist: it would only protect your first X amount of honey. This way you couldn't use it to build large stack while you are still not attackable. It would just help with a start but you have to actually play the game to progress.
It should really be timed. When a guy uses multi's, and do the "no attack on below 12 shards perk", top players will really be messed.
